There is an excellent range of products here aside from the usual fresh meats (which are always high quality). Cooked meats are available as are a good selection of freshly-made pies, sausage rolls etc. They seem to be churning things out of the ovens all day long! The steak pies are absolutely heavenly. A good range of freshly made hot & cold sandwiches are available and these are extremely good value. There is usually a good stock of fresh bread too, and the free-range eggs simply cannot be beaten. This is a well-run family business and I have never visited the shop and been the only customer, it’s extremely popular - and with good reason!

We have had very good service and produce has always been exceptional, however my experience today in your shop was appalling to say how much i have spent with your business over the years. We ask for 3 large slices of cooked ham the assistant offered me, what i could only call the dog end of a joint. When i said this is not what we wanted she replied if we gave you the slices you asked for we would be only left with the dog ends ourselves.

The only reason this is not a 1 star rating is due to the fact of your service in the past.

I’ve been a customer here for almost 20 years…
The food/meat et cetera is unbelievably great quality and locally sourced…
I am very happy with the service as this morning I had to take my dog for a walk and dropped the shopping list in and then collected it on my way back which was so helpful!
(I’ll be ringing it in next time!)
I make a list for each meal of the week and as I live alone small portions are ideal…Even ready-made meals are available...
Cannot Fault the friendly service and range of meat and pastries...

Ordered a bacon & sausage and beans on a bead bun, upon opening the sandwich I was shocked to find only 1 sausage in sight. They might as well of threw a cocktail sausage on a Belly buster sandwhich.

Always pleasant staff, family run, quality butchers. Meat and home cooked produce are excellent. Best 'proper' sausages around the area.
