What a fabulous evening learning about, cooking and eating Asian street food. Ben is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable chef who made delicious dishes with a bit of help from us six students. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I was totally stuffed by the end of the evening. We left with a lot of inspiration and plans to acquire a whole new set of ingredients from the Somerset Foodie. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

What a brilliant evening, great food and great company too! I’m not really a cook but learnt a huge amount on the course and now feel brave enough to tackle some of Ben’s wonderful recipes. He did a great job teaching everyone, in a very simple to follow workshop format, how to cook and prepare some amazing dishes. We then all sat around to the table to eat and enjoy at the end of this fantastic experience. Book now you won’t be disappointed!

On a recent trip to Madrid we tried and were blown away by one of their many excellent drinking snacks called a Gilda; an olive, pepper and anchovy on a cocktail stick. Back home we struggled to find the right pepper to recreate a Gilda at home. Enter Somerset Foodie Ltd who we are so pleased to have stumbled across on the internet. They stock exactly the peppers we needed and at a very good price. Ordering was easy, delivery was very fast and very well packaged, and the handwritten note from Ben was a really nice, welcome touch. We’ll definitely return.

A great night meeting such nice people including hosts Ben & Alice . For me it was a first real experience cooking Asian food from scratch and was a complete eye opener to ingredients I’d never used before . After 3 courses myself and others were stuffed full of lovely food that we’d prepared , so I think the 4th course was one too many , however a brilliant night ?. I’ll be back again for a Mexican night next , thank you

Ben and Alice are wonderful hosts and so knowledgeable about Mexican cuisine. This is my third taco workshop and honestly it gets better every time. The food we prepare, cook and eat is always delicious and accessible enough to be cooked at home. Ben really helps break the recipe down into simple steps meaning it’s easy to recreate at home, and impress your friends with! I would, without hesitation, recommend a somerset foodie workshop to anyone interested in learning how to cook new dishes.

Always a happy experience shopping at Somerset Foodie. Most recent purchase was Calebrian Oregano in Bunch. Full of flavour and a fragrant addition to the store cupboard. Nothing like the sawdusty stuff in little tins.
