Absolutely fantastic first riding experience as part of the ‘Own a Pony experience’. My daughter has fallen in love with ‘Teddy Bear’ and wants to go again! Shame we live so far or would consider the pony share opportunity. Beautiful setting and lovely staff. Beautifully decorated, and a lovely calm atmosphere for nervous children. The dressing up the pony and putting polish on his hooves really helps to take away the fear for a child that’s never interacted with a horse before. Looking forward to returning :-). Will also be bringing my youngest for her first experience.

Fantastic experience. I took my 3 year old son for Shetland pony ride and Easter egg hunt and we were extremely impressed by how well ran it was. Our son had a fabulous time and appeared to really adjust well and enjoy his experience. We really liked how he was out with one of the male lads working there- so he had the experience of being with a man who was showing him how to brush the pony. We watched on and were very happy. Can’t wait to bring him again for another riding experience. Thank you everyone

Truly unique, personalised and magical experience. My boys (4 and 9) absolutely loved the Own Your Pony Experience. Rosemary is a lovely and knowledgeable host and the pony handlers are professional, and brilliant with kids (and ponies)! The safari tent for parents when kids are out on their rides has had lots of thought and care in its set up and design- me and my wife loved it. The club itself is located in such beautiful countryside - quintessentially English.

Forget the not so far away theme parks with long meandering 90 mins+ queues which you’d have to be a mini Royalty to skip. Instead use your hard earned cash on this instead and see your kids truly smile at the end of the day!

This was our second visit to this enchanting centre. Two grandchildren 4 and 9 and they loved the whole experience. The ponies are gentle and placid - the helpers charming and nothing is too much trouble. A lovely afternoon giving the girls a mini taste of owning a pony. Needless to say they are hooked!

I wasn't sure if my son would be comfortable with the ponies, so I booked a starter session and it was great. My son enjoyed it soo much. I would definitely recommend the Shetland Pony Club. The ladies are all very welcoming and friendly. We are looking forward to joining the fun for an Easter Egg Hunt. 🐇

Super time had at the Shetland Pony Club yesterday with my 3 1/2 year old grandson. His very first pony ride and it certainly won’t be his last! Everything was so well organised and calm and reassuring. The children had a full 30 mins walk around lovely fields and the ponies are very well behaved and cute! I wholeheartedly recommend the Shetland Pony Club for young children. Sarah King

A Truly Magical Experience at Shetland Pony Club!

We had the most wonderful time at the Shetland Pony Club’s Maxi Easter Egg Hunt, and it’s safe to say our daughter absolutely loved every moment of it! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of excitement. The event was beautifully organised, with just the right mix of fun, adventure, and of course—ponies!
The highlight for our daughter was meeting her pony for the day, the lovely Bilbo. He was calm, gentle, and incredibly sweet—such a perfect match for young riders. Her partnered pony handler made sure she felt comfortable and confident, and she bonded with Bilbo instantly. It was heartwarming to see how much care and attention each child (and pony!) received.
The Easter Egg Hunt itself was pure joy—imaginative, engaging, and so thoughtfully designed. Our daughter hasn’t stopped talking about the magical ride through the countryside, and Bilbo ! ❤️
We can’t thank Rosemary & team enough for creating such a special experience. It was the perfect blend of learning, adventure, and pony magic. We’ll definitely be bac in May- Bilbo has made a fan for life!

Fabulous experience well worth the journey and money.
Girls were friendly and professional, the ponies were adorable, well behaved and well kept. Beautiful afternoon out for little ones wanting to experience time with a pony. Very patient, well run ranch, beautiful surroundings- my granddaughter really enjoyed her ride and we were amazed she got into the saddle! Dressing up the pony was a great experience for her and helped her bond with the pony. Even picking up the manure at the end, all part of it.

Really recommend. Rosemary was friendly and kind too. Will be back.
