The refrigerated pasta and tortellini selection is quite good as well as the Swedish meatballs which are incrediblly cheap £1. Not sure about the girl serving me as she wasn’t very friendly but normally I go in there just to buy the 2 products. If you take a one stop train ride from Blackheath to Kidbrooke there are 3 small supermarkets just by Kidbrooke station. Tesco, Sainsbury’s and a community food market which offers a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Not worth it. Actually more expensive than the farmers market across the road, which is an achievement. Been there once in fifty years, walked out laughing at the prices. Considering that M&S, Sainsburys and Tesco are a mile away, I leave this place to the kind of people who buy luxury watches from duty free, and genuinely believe they're getting a bargain.

I've been to this shop multiple times, and without a doubt, it stands as the most expensive establishment I have ever encountered. Surprisingly, even the prices within airports tend to be more reasonable compared to this shop. Given its location in a peripheral area of London, the exorbitant prices appear unjustified. Paying £2.69 for a serving of regular chips is beyond what I've experienced elsewhere. Nevertheless, I want to acknowledge and appreciate the outstanding customer service provided by the Habesha girl. Her delightful demeanor and exceptional service left a positive impression. Despite my initial frustrations with the prices, her efforts may sway me towards considering a return visit. However, I still firmly hold the belief that the prices remain unreasonably high.

Shepherd foods has lovely produce but the reason for my review is the customer service i received. It was the only shop around where i could find gas cards but Edf had sent an invalid code so i was unable to purchase. Id been without gas for 2 days and the lady was sympathetic and understanding and tried the code repeatedly and told me she was available immediately to help me once id tried calling edf, calling another staff memember to deal with the other customers.
Felt so much better after a rubbish few days just to be treated nicely.
Thanks to this lady xx

Over the last 6 years I've been to this shop on a number of occasions. I have finally decided to leave this negative review. I've never been happy with this shop. High prices (nearly 50 percent more than what you pay in a supermarket) may be excused only to certain extent because of high rents in the area! On top of that customer service is appalling. Hello or thank you doesn't cost a thing. Don't just ignore your customer. If your customer comments on poor customer service they are receiving, don't be rude towards them. Make your customer feel welcome and valued especially since this place is such a rip off. Avoid this shop!

Was buying mortadella, when noticed this discoloured package (on the top of the photo). Clearly the protective seal has been compromised and the product is degrading from contact with oxygen. When pointed out to staff - they just put it back on the shelf saying that they can still sell it. Only shop here if you’ve got no other option and triple-check everything.

I popped in to buy some frozen fruit. Whilst it was more than I'd usually pay l opted to go ahead with the purchase for the sake of convenience. Once on my way home l realised I'd been drastically overcharged. Admittedly, this was partly my fault for not realising it at the time and being in a rush, but it's still disgusting. I now realise the person behind the till overcharged me by almost a fiver. Rip off! I won't be going there again and see I'm not the only one. Note to all customers, make sure you don't fall prey to being ripped off like me.

As someone who lives in Blackheath this shop is probably the worst thing about the place due to how ridiculous the prices are. The only reason they’re able to sell you the same items from coop for double the cost is the lack of similar businesses. For any food shops, this place should be option F on the list. Avoid if possible, unless you want to be robbed during their opening hours.
