Wouldn't bother with any stars place terrible, mould everywhere, cooker painted!! and dirty ,owners response was well it is cheap. Don't waste your holiday or money

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time in the self catered cottage and felt it was good value. There was plenty of room for 2 people and the cottage was well equipped. The setting was idyllic with a pretty little garden with seating alongside the cottage. ||The location suited us well as we could easily get in to Brighton within 20/25 mins and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. The owners were really friendly and we would certainly return if we stay in the area again.

Stayed for three nights over half-term with two children (who had their own room) and had a lovely stay. Great facilities with some really thoughtful touches eg. bathrobes, pool activities, torches in rooms. We had considered staying in Brighton but really glad we based ourselves in the beautiful countryside. Large garden and excellent breakfasts (including Roy’s fabulous homemade granola). We took advantage of Roy’s knowledge of the local area and made friends with Nala their lovely dog.

My husband and I stayed at Tovey lodge for the bank holiday weekend. Everyone staying there was made to feel special and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful home with jacuzzi and in door swimming pool. Amazing views all around. Great walking or cycling area. All little extras in the room, great touch. Breakfast was wonderful and they very kindly catered for my vegan diet. We would highly recommend a stay.

We stayed in the self catering cottage located in the grounds of the B and B and loved our stay there. There was everything we needed to be self sufficient, finding the kitchen well stocked with utensils and the likes to cook meals. The cottage was very clean and comfortable to relax in and hot water was in abundance to have a hot bath after a long walk in the beautiful countryside. We took advantage of the spa located in the main house and thought fifteen pounds for two people was very good value.

Stayed here with my husband for a couple of nights break. The lodge itself was in a beautiful, quiet location and the room was outstanding. Very large, clean and comfortable, and the views were stunning. The breakfast was tasty and sourced locally. I liked all the little touches that the hosts provided i.e. somewhere to place your dirty walking boots, sweets in the room, bathrobes for swimming, torches in the room, slippers etc. They had thought of everything! Very accommodating.||On a negative, we weren't a fan of the communal breakfast table. We had gone down there to get away from it all and having to share our breakfast with others making forced small talk isn't really our thing. I feel separate tables to accommodate guests at breakfast and leaving them with the choice to share with others would make it a more comfortable setting rather than an awkward one. I can see what the host is trying to do but not everyone likes being put on the spot. ||Other than that, not a bad little place to stay.

We had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights...September 3 & 4, 2017 and wished we could have stayed longer. Roy and Diane were the best hosts, sharing info on dining, pubs, hiking etc. We checked out both pubs and wandered the small village as the weather was less than wonderful for the hiking that we planned to do. We proceeded to have a wonderful time anyways. Roy's breakfasts are wonderful and the entire lodge and amenities are really lovely with so much attention paid to details. A really comfortable place to stay.

Great base for visiting friends in Brighton and Sussex. Lovely small but comfortable. Actually rather a romantic hideaway. Home from home. Owners have done more improvements since last visit. Love it. Will alway use this cottage when coming this way. Great value price low and comfort high. Nice views and good walks to village or on the hill- South Downs -- Ditchling Beacon or visiting the great number of vineyards. Wko knew in England so many vineyards.
