Rutland Park Farm and Daphne's Tea Room: A Delightful Day Out

Rutland Park Farm is a charming escape right on my doorstep in Oakham. The warm welcome from the owner and staff sets the tone for a truly enjoyable visit. It's fascinating to explore a working farm, getting up close with the various animals. The footpath is well-laid out, making it easy to wander through the farm and even discover a peaceful woodland area.

After a leisurely stroll, Daphne's Tea Room is the perfect spot to relax and refuel. The delicious cakes and other treats are a delightful treat, and the gift shop offers a lovely selection of souvenirs, including the local Rutland Honey made here in Oakham - a must-buy for any foodie!

With the sun shining, it's hard to beat spending an afternoon surrounded by nature and friendly animals. A perfect day out!

Amazing place!! Best Farm Park around! My daughter and nephew, one 14 one almost 4 had the BEST time as did all the adults. The entry price is really reasonable and all the animals are so friendly both children (and adults) loved the contact with the animals. The walk through the woods is fantastic. There are so many activities included in the entry price for example being able to hold the animals and feed them, also other activities and the adults can join in too! The staff are very knowledgeable and really friendly and kind. Such amazing value! The cafe is fabulous and the food so yummy. This place is amazing so much so we have been twice in one week and want to go back again! We will definitely be returning, and we can't wait!

An amazing place. The staff are friendly and approachable. The food is amazing and the cost of entry is no where enough for what you get. Its a working victoriana farm and although there various stages of renovation you can see for yourself the quality of the animals and rhey are all happy and fed well.
Well done to Julie, Anne, Amy, Evie and team for giving us an amazing experience x

We didn't book online as never been before. Superhero day for bank holiday. Passed by in car, entrance looked small and couldn't see much from road so
Free parked nearby, though discovered there is good car parking area within
Pleasantly surprised within. ?
Great for all the family, clean and friendly. Good choice of hot and cold sandwiches etc. Bag of food for hungry animals, along accessible pathways, well looked after and exploring the woodland a fun time playing in the trees, play area for young children. will definitely visit again

Absolutely beautiful farm. All the staff are warm and welcoming and eager to answer any questions. So many animals to interact with. Fun for a whole family. In wetter weather maybe not wheelchair friendly in all parts. We went with a pushchair and it got stuck in the sticky mud but it's to be expected from a farm in soggy weather.

We were looking for somewhere for an afternoon out in the area and found this place. Our kids had a great time. So many animals and activities to get involved in. It definitely has more of a working farm vibe, but we loved that. Kids (and adults) loved feeding the animals, and the cakes from the tea room were great!

disgusting the way the animals are kept made me sad and angry to see. 4-5 rabbits trapped in one hutch with no runs . A poor dog kept in disgusting conditions. Sheep limping all matted up . what horrified me the most was a poor duck trapped in a broken hutch that wasn’t even closed properly with rubbish all in the bottom of it leaving it with one tiny space at the top with no water im in shock are these people are still running this farm. Peacocks trapped in a tiny cage with no space to move around and chickens looking distraught with no room to move around . disgusting when we spoke to the people they said they have no idea what duck i’m on about which makes it even worse .
