I had fantastic customer service from Paul Leader (Branch Manager at Ron Smith and Co., Hereford) and his staff who helped me to be provided with a brand new Ego lawn mower: free (apart from a small inspection fee).

I bought my original Ego lawn mower from another business in 2019. It failed completely on 19/7/24. I took it to Ron Smith's on the 20th, and on the 23rd, Paul Leader rang me to say that after their assessment, an attempted repair would cost well over £200 and that might not fix the problem.

Paul drew my my attention to the FIVE year warrantee and we realised that my 25th July 2019-purchased machine was still in warrantee, but only just!

So for the £36 price for the deposit and examination, I soon became the very happy owner of a brand new Ego lawn mower (an excellent mower). Just one slight disappointment: you only get the five-year Ego warrantee once!

I took my husqvarna auto mower base into the Hereford branch to get it repaired. They sent it to their Worcester branch where the repair was going to cost pretty much the same as a replacement from another store-sorry, no sale-But, I had left the transformer with the base unit and a week later the shop called to let me know that it had been returned from Worcester and was ready for collection! I feel bad now not getting the unit from them, but they charge top dollar, hence the four star, but I applaud the service and will try to use them again if I’m feeling flush!

Their customer service is totally rubbish. Bought a £800 mower which failed after 6 months and they refused to repair it. Avoid at all costs. 1 Star because I could not do zero.

It's nice to be able to get sound advice from the staff here. As an absolute novice, they discussed my needs for a rotavator and gave me suggestions to consider and info to take away. Sometimes shopping on line with no real support is not a good idea and I highly recommend that you visit the showroom to physically see what is available. May save you making a mistake. I will definitely go back to this store.
