A beautiful blend of Turkish warmth and Edinburgh charm!
We had such a lovely breakfast at Rock Salt Café—easily one of the best meals we’ve had during our time in Edinburgh. We ordered both the Turkish and British breakfast, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Turkish breakfast in particular brought a real taste of home for me—so comforting and authentic. The latte and cappuccino were also spot on, made with care and really hit the spot.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a slow, relaxing morning. It’s clear they put heart into everything they do. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh—this place deserves way more love on the map!

Been here a few times and love it. Breakfasts are fantastic, hot chocolate and latte is good! They are dog friendly indoors and outdoors. The cakes are amazing.

I had the rock salt pancake special and a mocha latte, and both were fantastic! The mocha latte was perfectly blended, and the latte art was such a delightful touch — it really brightened my morning. The staff were warm and welcoming, and there’s plenty of seating to relax and enjoy. Overall, a great spot with a wonderful atmosphere just a stone’s throw away from the station!

I was really excited after seeing the great reviews and got a nice first impression. The pecan pie was dry and tasteless. I asked if it was made today and got the surprised answer "Did someone tell you it was made today?" The pie was apparently delivered two days prior. No wonder it was dry.
The hot food looked nice, but the pastry section was not great

After the opening of Tram, now we can commute to Leith more comfortably,
Rock salt proudly provides breakfast menu.
The cafe is spacious with wooden floor mixed with the historical vibe.

Vegan full breakfast maintain the proper breakfast. The vegan sausage is mediocre but ham is literally gorgeous. The other menus are various to choose.

The staff is very attentive and give customers the space.
Whenever using tram you can drop by this cafe.

The cafe looks lovely and had a nice vibe from it. Food , personally wasn't too keen. I had frech toast. But I found the toast too dry and bacon to hard. The coffe was really good though.
