The owner was very friendly. We bought the pies that were made onsite and were very tasty. We then went into the dog friendly cafe for a coffee. The staff in there were very accommodating also.

Very friendly place. Amazing foods. Everything I’ve bought here has been spectacular. Steaks. Lamb shanks. Pastries and pies. All amazing. I recommend the thick pork sausages for a Sunday breakfast and the chocolate bomb. Highly recommended!!!

Had a lovely lunch and cake on Easter Monday here. The staff were exceptionally friendly, service fabulous and food was really good. Recommend salted caramel cake!!!!

The sausages and pork pies were amazing. As was the ginger cake and goose eggs.
We stopped here on day 1 of our short break and topped up again on our way home.

I was just passing by on the way to Staffordshire, due to a Sat Nav traffic diversion and called in.

I bought a Cornish Pasty and had it as a snack - brilliant! Pastry was light and crispy with a good amount of tasty filling.

Took home a Steak pie with onion and mushroom, I am always a bit concerned about pies in silver foil cases but when heated through it was absolutely excellent. Lots of lean meat and just the right amount of very tasty sauce - with beautiful pastry.

I also bought a couple of pork pies, which were good, but not quite as good as those from Bentley's Pork Butchers in Pudsey.

The fresh meat looked good too, especially the rabbit, and there was a wide selection of cheeses.

Well worth a diversion to/from J22 on the M62.

Oh, and very friendly staff.

Probably the best Meat and Potato pie I ever had. Not a great deal of potato but crammed full of super quality lean beef.
