Wonderful-tasting, good-quality chocolate. I bought the chocolate bars (all the flavours are great) and the drinking chocolate and love them both! It's an added bonus that the company was founded with ethical trade for Ecuadorian cacao farmers in mind and helps the conservation of the rainforest. Always happy to support a small business with a worthy cause. Highly recommend!

Excellent business ethics. The value of the product is beyond the product itself, it also flows into the message of the brand and what it stands for. Fair trade is rarely ever fair. It helps that the chocolate is of top notch quality of course. Not only is it simply a snack; something to indulge in - but it can also be used as an ingredient. The practice of enjoying the selection of Rio Nuevo Chocolate comes to mind the way that wine is to be sipped and appreciated.

A versatile, enjoyable, flavourful selection among the many mediocre shelf brands found in supermarkets and the like. The selection is rich enough to cater to anyone. As I have gifted these to dark chocolate connoisseurs, newbies and non-enthusiests big and small alike with praises all-around regardless of passion, palate or preference, there's something for everyone.

Nowadays it's really difficult to find truly ethical products to purchase, particularly because some of the ingredients are normally sourced unethically e.g. Palm Oil. Many claim to be ethical, but the reality is that they are not. This I cannot say about Rio Nuevo Chocolate.

What I absolutely adore about this unique chocolate brand is their genuine dedication to do good by the Cocoa Farmers in Ecuador, where they source their single-estate Cocoa Beans for use in their chocolate. Even to the extent of frequently visiting their Cocoa Farmers in Ecuador to make sure that they are ok. Providing the families with clothing, toys etc. as well as ensuring that they always give the Cocoa Farmers a fair market price for their product. This is true ethics, both on a business and personal level.

The chocolate speaks for itself. It's velvety, luxurious, rich in flavour/depth and yet the ingredients are very simple. No junk is added to enhance the flavour.

It's 'Chocolartistry' (and yes... that is a term I just invented myself) at its absolute best!
