1 on 1 session (bicycle servicing)

Really enjoyed the session today with Graham as he took me through a general service on my old Bianchi. We went through the service in a very methodical way as to cover all bases including cable renewal and gear set up. His patience and knowledge was commendable and much appreciated.

The knowledge I gained I’m sure will serve me well and hopefully save me money in the long run as I have a few bikes that will require servicing.

If your a keen cyclist or a novice like me who just fancy’s maintaining there own bike(s) I would definitely recommend booking a session with recyke y’bike, Chester le street. You won’t be disappointed.

With thanks
Steve

Great shop! I saw one of their shared posts on Facebook for a vintage bike. Called them up and purchased over the phone. Went to collect a week later. The bike was mint, well serviced and ready to ride. (Immediately rode from the store over the North Yorkshire Moors and down into York before taking the train back home)

They have a great selection of well serviced and ready to bikes at extremely fair prices, and they're a great group of people to deal with.

Would buy here again in a heartbeat!

I have been to this shop on two occasions now. On both visits I have dropped a bike in on the morning for repair then just after lunch received a phone call to say the bikes are ready for collection. You couldn't get a more helpful and friendly set of staff. An additional benefit is that you are helping a charity. I would definitely recommend.

Passed this shop after I just damaged my derailleur, and even though the shop was closed for repairs, the technician (forgot his name sorry!) very kindly opened up and helped me do a quick fix of my derailleur, and gave me some advice on how to maintain my bike. Clearly very knowledgeable, and very helpful for them to go out of their way. 100% would recommend.

Hadn't booked my bike in, just called in to see if they could sort my brakes. They said they were busy and might not have time that day, but I left my bike anyway and got a call less than 3 hours later to tell me it was ready! Brakes are now the best they have ever been, and Graham managed to find and fit a second hand kickstand for me. Brilliant service, and many thanks.

Great service. Got my bike serviced here last March and the lads done a great job, the gears have never been as smooth on the gear change. Highly recommend.

They have the best balance of friendly and professional.

I went to replace my front wheel. They had a large collection of 2nd hand wheels in good condition (the one I got looks new) and sold it for cheaper then I could find online. I saw they also have a wide collection of second hand bikes to sell, and will do all kinds of repairs from big to small.

I also love the concept; we need to fix things more instead of throwing them out. Recyke y'bike is a real service to the community.
