SPECIALTIES: Tour operator, Travel agency

OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST: Onsite services

Founded in 1993 by David Rabbie, the company has grown to offer a wide range of tours, from day trips to multi-day adventures. Rabbie's Tours is particularly known for its personalized approach, using smaller vehicles like minivans to provide a more intimate and comfortable experience. This is a stark contrast to the large, impersonal tour buses often seen on the roads.

One of the keys to Rabbie's Tours' success is its emphasis on providing knowledgeable and friendly guides. These tour guides are often locals or experts in Scottish history and culture, which allows them to share fascinating insights and stories along the way. Many past travelers have praised their guides for being incredibly knowledgeable, entertaining, and passionate about what they do.

The tours themselves cover a wide range of destinations and interests. For instance, one popular offering is the three-day trip to the Isle of Skye from Edinburgh. This itinerary includes stunning landscapes, charming villages, and opportunities to spot wildlife like seals and eagles. Accommodations are also thoughtfully arranged, often in traditional bed and breakfasts or guesthouses that add to the authentic Scottish experience.

Another notable aspect of Rabbie's Tours is its commitment to sustainability. The company offsets its carbon emissions and encourages its passengers to reduce their plastic waste during tours. This dedication to responsible travel has earned Rabbie's Tours recognition from various travel industry awards.

With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, personalized experiences, and environmental responsibility, Rabbie's Tours continues to be a top choice for travelers looking to explore Scotland and beyond.

We did the three day trip to Isle of Skye from Edinburgh and it was fantastic! Our tour guide, Chris, was incredibly knowledgeable about the Highlands and was very entertaining. The small van was much better than a big tour bus and much easier on my motion sickness. The accomodation for us was organised by Rabbies and was really great. The sights were lovely and Chris took us to some favourite spots of his too that were less crowded. Great tour, great people, would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful time on the 3-day Isle of Skye tour with Roger and Lyn as our guides! The tour had the perfect balance of information and quiet time to admire the scenery. The bus/mini-coach was also quite comfortable. I would’ve liked to stop for a picnic in some of the scenic locations, but that’s just my preference—overall, I think our guides did a great job of letting us know how much time we had at each stop, what was next, and what was worth checking out at each place depending on our individual interests. They were both highly knowledgeable about the tour in general and additional questions we had along the way.
Our accommodations in Portree were also booked through Rabbie’s, and the process was easy, straightforward, and aligned with our preferences.

I was also really touched to see that at each stop, Lyn took the time to collect pieces of trash that others (not on our tour) had unfortunately left on the ground. I’m not sure if all Rabbie’s tours do this, but it was amazing to see—and both of our guides had a clear love and admiration for the beautiful landscape and culture. I was sad for the tour to end because it was such a nice and memorable time. Would absolutely recommend this Rabbie’s tour, as well as Roger and Lyn, to anyone wanting to visit the Highlands!

Went on a wonderful well-paced 3-day tour. We had a variety of weather on Skye (as we should, eh!?). With the benefit of an additional hour of daylight with BST and a great guide /driver, there were so many awesome sights of natural beauty.

Hopefully you are lucky enough to have Simon as your driver. Then the real highlight will be his kind, cordial and conversational manner. So many tour operators have drivers that either don’t care or seem ā€œoverly impressed with themselvesā€. Not here! Rabbie’s has a gem in their small group format, the Skye itinerary, and their overall tour format, BUT ESPECIALLY in this driver. Simon gave us such personal attention, and he was constantly adjusting the tour itinerary to accommodate any special requests. Who could ask for more!?

The 12 hour trip to the Highlands with Jonas was awesome! We couldn’t believe it was his first time doing this specific tour because his expertise and confidence were flawless.

The company is super well organized and was easy to find for departure.

My only critique was a bit of too frequent stops for toilet/coffee breaks due to a legal requirement supposedly. I wish they could better space out the breaks so we didn’t take them at 5-10 minutes apart. Towards the end of the day I had no interest in going to another shop/cafe.

Try the Edinburgh Day Tour for the Highlands and Glencoe. it is a long day, but SO worth it! This tour is AMAZING! The tour bus held 12, with plenty of room. Views very spectacular! Lunch in Fort Augustus was perfect. The only complaint is that we didn't see Nessie.

Our trip to Scotland was made unforgettable by three incredible tour guides: Penny, Jim S., and Dave. Each of them brought their own unique style and knowledge, giving us a deeper appreciation for Scotland.

Penny took us on the Highland Tour, and her passion for the stunning landscapes and rich history of the Highlands was contagious. She shared fascinating stories and made sure we truly understood the beauty and significance of the area.

Jim S. guided us through St. Andrews & Falkland, where his deep knowledge of Scottish history and culture shone through. He gave us great insights into the importance of these locations, not only in golf but also in Scotland’s history and heritage.

Finally, Dave led us on the Single Malt Whisky Tour, where his expertise in whisky-making was second to none. His love for Scotch whisky was clear, and he explained the process and flavors with so much enthusiasm that we felt like experts by the end of the tour.

Each guide was unique, but all shared a love for Scotland that made our experience so special. We learned so much about Scotland’s nature, history, and whisky. We highly recommend these three guides to anyone visiting Scotland!

My family and I were fortunate enough to take two Rabbies tours this week. On Monday, we went to the Kelpies, Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle with Neil Gordon. He was an excellent driver and guide and had a wonderful sense of humour. One highlight was a close up view of the magnificent Kelpies. And yesterday, we drove up to Oban and Glencoe with Graham Fraser. He was extremely knowledgeable about Scottish history and made sure to stop anywhere along the way where we could get great views.

Had the best tour with Alex on the Rabbie’s Highlands Loch Ness tour from Edinburgh - would highly recommend choosing this tour over any others if you’re looking for a good one to go to the highlands. Loved the small group, which made it so much more accessible and enjoyable for all the stops (and comfortable). Alex was super knowledgeable and shared so much Scottish history with us the whole day, mixed in with fun stories and anecdotes. He also made it feel personalized throughout, catering the trip and info to interests of the group. The day went so fast, we saw such beautiful spots around Scotland, learned a ton, and got so many recs from the rest of our time in Scotland too. Could not recommend more!
