An amazing place. The layout is well presented, with beautiful and well cared for plants and the plantswoman was very helpful when assisting me to choose some plants. AND they were not over-priced like some places you can visit. Well worth a look/visit, even if a little off the beaten track. I can highly recommend the place.

This is a different level of plant nursery. The site is immaculate and full of useful information. Frankly inspirational. Run by owners who are knowledgeable, enthusiastic plant lovers that want you to buy great plants that will work for our local climate. It's also a beautiful place to visit with different planting areas set out to give plenty ideas for you back home. We got some really super plants, learnt something and had our spark for the garden reinvigorated. Can't be bad!

Quercus is my number one choice of plant nurseries in the Scottish Borders. Rona specialises in (genuinely!) hardy plants but has extensive horticultural knowledge and is always happy to give advice.

I urge you to pay a visit - it's not simply a nursery, she has created (is still creating) an incredible garden at Whitmuir with scented garden, wildlife areas, woodland, meadow, perennial borders and more!

Beautiful garden centre. A must visit. A wide selection of native plants all grown and acclimatised to the higher altitude for hardier plants. It's also a wonderful place to simply walk around. What they have done with their zonal arrangements is extremely impressive.

This is a small dog friendly garden plant nursery. It isn't flashy but you can see example plants growing so there's good chance they'll grow in local gardens. The lady running it is knowledgeable.

Bonus: antique shop and cafe next door.
