Usually I do not complain, or write any reviews but today at the Ellingham show I bought ice cream for my daughter and I. At the show I recognised that they had many stalls, and their company had spent a lot of time and money on the marketing aspect of business. I decided to buy me and my daughter a icecream. We bought one each and we walked about 10 steps and realised that the ice cream was melting all over our hands. Like in the consistency of water.
We where really confused about this so we decided to go back and ask the workers about it. They said that they can give us another one if we wanted, I decided to take our chance and get just one more. To our surprise they were the exactly the same consistency as the first ones.
After we ate them, we were walking around the show still and we saw a lot of other people with the same problem that we experienced. The ice cream was all from the same company.
Once again I do not complain alot, but a company with this professional look should at least have some decent ice cream.

Generally speaking we think Purbeck Ice Cream is good, if not excellent. However the chocolate is surprisingly poor.

It’s described as ‘Serious Chocolate’ however it has little taste and the consistency when eating is ‘thin’ - definitely not creamy like most of their offerings. Waitrose and Aldi both produce far more chocolatey options at a lower price.

Not sure how they’ve got this so wrong, but a revisit to the tasting panel could be a good idea.

Delicious ice cream lots of different flavours never seems to go icy in the freezer and even better if you find a van selling it on a hot day. Only downside is rum and raisin is not as good as others I’ve tried otherwise so far they have all been better

Quite literally the best ice cream ive ever eaten! My favorite is the chocolate orange. I was very excited when I discovered a few ice cream vans at the Chelsea flower show this year. I didn't think I would see this ice cream until I went back to Dorset.

Bounght some of there ice cream from my local budgets store.
Later that Evening my wife and i decided to have some but the taste and texture was not good I decided to check the expiry date and found it was 6 months out of date.
Sent a picture and video to purbeck and was told in not so may words I was liar.
I never expected something like that good job my wife never gave the grandchildren some.
Please check the date before I will not be taking that chance anymore .

We had the Serious Chocolate and the Stem Ginger............. divine!

Note that the factory is not actually open to the public however.

If ever you see Purbeck ice cream for sale...... buy it, you won’t regret it!
