Sam has been an integral part of both my daughters’ passing their driving tests this year. She was great at building confidence with my more nervous daughter. She was prompt at letting us know when they were ready to take their tests.
Sam is great at communicating around lesson organisation. Always turns up on time, and both my daughters enjoyed lessons with her.

Steve is a fantastic instructor. When I first started I knew nothing about driving but his knowledge and expertise made me pass my driving test first time. He was always patient when I made mistakes and never made me feel stressed. Couldn’t have done it without him. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone who has the desire to learn to drive.

I really cannot speak highly enough of Sam’s driving tuition. She is an exceptional Driving Instructor and an exceptional person! I passed my Driving Test in September 2024, at the age of 57 (with only 3 minors!!) and this is entirely thanks to Sam. Sam is far too humble to sing her own praises, so I’ll have to do that for her here!

I’m a Housesitter and Petsitter and travel around a lot, which meant that I took lessons with a number of different ADIs, so I know what I’m talking about! Some ADIs shouted at me, some swore, most were impatient, and often, unkind. But not Sam. She’s honestly the best Driving Instructor I could have hoped to find, anywhere. When I started studying with Sam in East Wittering and Chichester (and Sam was my SEVENTH driving Instructor!) I finally felt like I was learning to drive. I finally mastered clutch control! I am neurodiverse and Sam was calm, patient, kind, and encouraging. She had confidence in me and gave me confidence in myself. These are rare and precious qualities. She also has a wonderful sense of humour.

When I moved on to other Petsits (and found TWO MORE miserable, impatient, and rude Driving Instructors who crushed my confidence) I specifically applied for more Housesits in Sam’s catchment area so that I could study with Sam again and, I hoped, to eventually pass my Driving Test. And thanks to Sam, I passed my test in Portsmouth! This will make an enormous difference to my life, to my family’s lives, and to my work! I just could not believe it when I passed my test - with Sam in the back seat - and am still really over the moon.

I could not have done any of this without Sam, her patient teaching, her good humour and encouragement, and her faith in me. THANK YOU, SAM! YOU’RE A STAR! I recommend Sam wholeheartedly and 100%! If you’re lucky enough to get Sam as your Driving Instructor, you’re already a winner!
