Warm host, warm house, very comfortable lodging. Diana takes great pride in this place, magnificent garden in Summer, fine cosy spot in winter, lovely views all year !
Idyllic setting up a quiet country road and walking distance from the village pub.
The house is a spotless farmhouse where we slept in an updated en-suite double room with voluminous duvet and a huge comfy iron bed. Breakfast served in the cute dining room ( beamed fireplace, wood burner, hunting horn) was carefully prepared, fresh fruit, cooked items, fine coffee, home made bread and marmalade. As good as it gets for a country B+B - charming!

We spent a lovely weekend at Pounds Farm in August. Diana was so accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in the twin room with a shared bathroom. The beds were comfy, the linen and towels were impeccably clean and the view out the window was to die for! The cottage is beautifully quaint and more like you're staying at a friend's house than a B&B. ||The gardens were incredible with an array of beautiful flowers and views over the hills. The pool was an added bonus and a refreshing dip helped revive us after our journey. ||Breakfast was delicious, fresh eggs and bacon from a local farmer accompanied by tomatoes freshly picked from the garden, a home baked loaf of bread, honey from Diana's bees and homemade jam. Really couldn't have asked for more and I think Diana would have accommodated anything we asked for. ||The cottage is located just up the road from Hemyock's centre only a short walk downhill to get there. The entrance is a little difficult to spot when driving so make sure you keep a look out. ||Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.|

I stayed with Dianna and Jim the night before my wedding with my five bridesmaids. We felt truely welcomed into their home! The rooms were so beautiful with amazing views of the garden and countryside. The bathrooms were luxury and everything was very clean. The garden was absolutely AMAZING with so many beautiful flowers and places to explore. We felt very lucky to be there. Our breakfast was so lovely with home made bread and catering for vegetarians and vegans too. We also enjoyed a lovely lunch of vegan cheese and cress sandwiches before going off to the wedding. We also enjoyed a lovely dip in the pool in the morning, again surrounded by beautiful plants and views!||Dianna and Jim went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, we all felt totally blown away by their hospitality and care. We had the opportunity of taking some wedding photos in the beautiful garden before leaving too and they look amazing!

We have just got back from spending a very enjoyable couple of nights at this lovely farm. Beautiful location in the Blackdown Hills - quiet and tranquill. The beds are super comfortable and the duvets are super snug. The rooms are well appointed, tastefully furnished and with excellent lighting. One room is with a king size bed and an ensuite. The other a double with a private bathroom across the landing. Free wifi is available.||Breakfast was yummy and plentiful, eaten in very pleasant surroundings. There is also a lovely lounge for guests' use.||Diana and Jim are a very friendly couple, who offer plenty of advice and suggestions about things to do in the surrounding area.

Stayed at the weekend with our young baby. I always find going away with our 8 month old very stressful as I am always worried about him waking everyone else up but we were made to feel very welcome.||The views were stunning and the garden is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous colourful flowers. Bed linen was very comfortable. ||Only minor was we only got half a bacon sandwich when we asked for a bacon sandwich for breakfast which for my 6ft 3 partner wasn't much! That being said we know it was Jim's first time making breakfast as his wife Diane was away and it did taste great so we weren't too bothered. Plus there was toast and cereal as well. ||A real home from home! If you are visiting Devon I do recommend you stay here.

It's a late review but my girlfriend and I were talking about how lovely our stay at Pounds farm was.||The views of the English countryside are spectacular and beautiful. ||The house is full of charm and character as are the hosts, Diana and her husband.||They really make you feel at home and went out of their way to pick up some pain au chocolat for my girlfriends birthdays.||I couldn't recommend Pounds farm more. A real taste of England, in every sense of the word.

Had a wonderful and relaxing time here. Didn't want to go home, the pool is an added bonus and my teenage children loved it. Diana and Jim are the most accommodating hosts. The excellent breakfast with homemade bread really sets you up for the day exploring the beautiful local countryside and coastal towns.

What a wonderful place in a beautiful location. We had a lovely room with ensuite and the view from the window was lovely. The garden was gorgeous and well kept with a swimming pool which sadly we didn't have time to use. We only met Jim, one half of the team his wife was away, he was very helpful. The breakfast was cooked by a friend of the family, an American lady I'm so sorry I can't remember her name but she was very good with a dry wit.||All the guests sat at the same table at breakfast time, not usually something we enjoy, making conversation with strangers first thing in the morning but they were a very nice family so it was fine.||We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were sad it was such a short stay and look forward to going back.
