Over the past 2 months I have been setting up my newly built raised pond.
And we needed some plants. Shopping around all we could find was overpriced unhealthy plants in some garden centres or aquatic shops.
So after doing some digging on Google I found Drew the owner of pondfolk.
He is very knowledgeable and if you contact him with an idea of what you want and give him some detail of your existing setup he will recommend so planting schemes for you.
He is not pushy and his plants are all healthy because he grows them himself.
I can,t thank Drew enough as its not easy trying to balance what to chose for a small pond with limited space.
Most of all he is not expensive.

I rocked up at Pondfolk armed with a few ideas from my online searching. I am new to pond keeping so am in the 'little knowledge is dangerous' category.

As soon as I arrived, I realised I had made the right decision to not Internet shop. Drew is very friendly, has an abundance of patience and is more than happy to share his knowledge.

I came away with a boot full of plants that were all reasonably priced and confident that my new pond is going to look the bees knees - thank you Drew!

P.S. the appointment system means you get Drew's undivided attention.

I made an appointment with Drew, the proprietor of Pondfolk, to visit on a Sunday. I was very satisfied with the whole experience.

They have a really good range of pond plants available and we had a great choice of different plants that would fit with what we were trying to create with out new pond.

Importantly, Drew was a very knowledgeable about the ponds and was willing to spend a great deal of time talking us through the options and helping us decide what would work for us. We talked for over and hour and I left with a great selection of plants and some confidence that I would be able to look after them.

We had very little knowledge about planting up our newly dug out wildlife pond. After a phone call to Drew we instantly knew he was the person to advise us. We sent him a picture of our pond and the depth dimensions and he made some suggestions. A few days later we visited his excellent establishment and came away with a variety of top quality plants all of which he had suggested. Drew couldn’t have been more helpful and encouraging and his expertise has happily guided us through our wildlife pond project. We hope Pondfolk continues to flourish. We wish them every success.

The level of service Drew provides is second to none.
Last autumn he gave me advice on where to put my pond, lent me pots so I could get plant shelves at the right height and supplied a lily to get me started.
I contacted him again to get going on the rest of the plants. He talked me through what would work and what wouldn’t. He cares about what he does and is passionate about growing his plants.
It really is worth booking an appointment with Drew, because not only will you get to see his many varieties of pond plants, you will also see the fabulous plot his nursery is based in.

A really excellent nursery for pond plants - incredibly helpful advice from Drew lead us to acquire a whole car boot-full of really well grown plants for our new pond. Cant recommend highly enough.
