Really upset that Plumpton College will only allow you to sit RHS exams at their site if you enrol on their course. I work full time and cannot afford the £700 for a 9 month course so I went and enrolled on an online course for £140 re RHS certificate for the principles of Horticulture and I was told I could book to sit the exam at Plumpton, I tried to book today October 2014 only to be told "As from this year we cannot accept anyone on externally, only the students that are attending the course." Seems they have you over the barrel. I work but can't afford their courses, yet unemployed get to go on the practical course for free!!! Thoroughly miffed about the whole matter.
