We (best friends) attended an ntroduction to floristry course for our birthday's. It was a beautiful one.day workshop, in a gorgeous environment. Our teacher Ellie was fantastic and the workshop.was great value for money and a really enjoyable thing to do on your birthday, we had lots of fun and came home with some beautiful quality flower creations that we made ourselves. Great for the soul! We'll definitely back 🙂

Finished a 2 day course today - tractor driving for beginners at Plumpton and I’m honestly sad it’s over. We had a brilliant, and I mean brilliant, teacher in Dave who made everything interesting and absorbing. Even the often tedious health and safety legislation, he made it relevant to our situations and spoke from experience.

I’m a mixed group including some young folks with low confidence but also older students (including myself) who had some limited tractor experience or at least driving experience. Dave was fantastic, he was attentive to all of us and spent extra time really paying attention to the younger students and building up the confidence of those of the group who were a little more shy and nervous.

I’ve left with FAR more confidence in my tractor driving skills and honesty I’ve never enjoyed a course so much, I’m a little sad I’m not going back for more on Monday.

I thoroughly recommend this course if you are a beginner tractor driver or have an interest in becoming involved in agriculture. With any luck you’ll get Dave as your teacher, the guy is fantastic. A good laugh as well as professional and a superb teacher.

Thanks Dave the Teacher from Dave the Student

Adult short courses are splendid. I recommend the tree courses, Tractor driving for absolute beginners and the Introduction to Bee Keeping. The facilities are great and the instructors brimming with enthusiasm. Will be back for more!

Went and done my tig welding course and it was a really great experience! The staff are really friendly, helpful and understanding. The food at lunch was good quality and a great price. The equipment was at a high quality standard so you can benefit from understanding on how they work! Would definitely recommend!

The animal management department wasn’t that great…some of the teachers are really nice but you do the same thing every year. And some of the teachers in the animal management department treat you like children and it was degrading abit. And wouldn’t let you move on to level 2 from level 1 if they don’t think you can handle it even tho you got enough of a score to move forward. And to only suspend the students who abused an animal is appalling when they will probably come back and do it again. Shame on plumpton college

Recently completed the WSET level 2 wine course at Plumpton. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to broaden a good basic knowledge of wine, get a foot in the door for a career/career change in wine or simply develop a greater appreciation of wine. The course, over three days with a multiple choice exam on day four, focuses on about ten main grape types, with tasting of more than 40 wines (including sparkling, sherry and port). It also includes the wine making process and teaches a systematic approach to tasting/describing wine. On our course (11 students) there was a broad mix of ages and while the coursework was quite intensive it was thoroughly enjoyable. Our lecturer, Rebecca, was extremely knowledgable with an obvious passion for the subject. Anyone considering the course shouldn’t be put off by the prospect of an exam. Although there was plenty of study material, I felt well prepared despite the short time frame. I’d been away from a classroom for over 35 years but the exam was not nearly as daunting as I feared.
