Tea barn/garden centre that’s been around for awhile. Well known to the locals and very popular - have visited many times👌🏼

Always a lovely place to visit - warm fire, relaxed atmosphere with great food/coffee, lovely staff, plenty of parking and dog friendly. It now has an attached bakery with great selection of cakes/pastries/bread. Nice to browse/buy some plants on the way out too - it has all you need and prices are reasonable 👌🏼

Definitely worth a visit!💯

c£15 for a tepid full English and small pot of tea is over priced. Staff great, but kitchen should be able to turn out better than cold dry bacon where only thing that was right temperature was hash brown. So it seems the last tepid breakfast I had here wasn't a fluke, its the standard to expect. Disappointed and won't visit again.

I visited this place three times, bought hedge plants, lilly flowers, has a nice caffee, staff are helpful and happy to answer questions.
Prices are reasonable.
You can sit indoors for coffee or out in the side terrace.

Visited the tea barn today with my son and daughter. I was advised to find a table, I could only find one that was not cleared so we had chose this one and I went to order. I advised the lady on the till that our table needed clearing which she said she would request. This lady was pleasant and took my order in a friendly manner. Several staff passed out table and didn't clear it. Ten minutes later our drinks arrived, and only at this point were the previous customers crockery removed from the table. The table was not wiped down which I find extremely poor. The staff members were unpleasant, didn't say hello, no smile or interaction whilst bringing drinks and food. My children commented on how unpleasant and unfriendly the staff were. In a world where we teach our children to be kind shouldn't adults also be displaying this? Basic manners cost nothing. I run a successful small local business and I know customer service is one of the most important aspects of what we do. The food was average, coffee was good. My daughter's glass of apple juice was filthy - shes 16 and she commented on how water marked the glass was. Probably won't be back here unfortunately with is a shame as we do enjoy coming here for plants and our Christmas tree!

This garden Centre is usually my go to place for plants but I’ve been sorely disappointed this year the prices have rocketed and the range of plants is very limited. A lot of the plants are dying or dead but they’re still marked up at full price. The whole place feels like it’s just giving up. There are lots of competition around from supermarkets and bargain stores as well So they really need to get their act together. I’d rather see less but healthy plants than loads of plants that look like they’re on their last legs it’s really depressing.

Upon arrival there were several car parks leading off the entrance & we found a spot without any trouble.
The cafe was fairly busy (we did arrive around 1pm), but we were seated quickly & the staff seemed very friendly.
I might add the staff were all wearing masks & there was a very good covid policy on site.
The food was reasonably priced & both our meals were good quality.
My only gripe was the timing our food arrived. My partner ordered quiche & I had some cake. My cake arrived with the drinks (tea) & my partners arrived a good ten minutes later. I'm not concerned regarding the wait (as the cafe was quite busy), It's good practice to bring both meals together!
The selection of plants was decent & I was quite tempted to buy a small tree fern.
On the whole I'd definitely recommend a visit, remember the exit is a one way system when exiting the car park...

Great for gardeners. Bad news for bees. So many nectar-rich flowering plants at very reasonable prices. However, very dissappointing that Pity Me nursery do not stock a SINGLE bee-friendly pest control product.
Without bees, there will be no flowers left for Mother Nature's funeral.
