visited today to get some plants for my patio pond. a great functional centre for aquatic plants. i was helped by a very knowledgable and helpful gentleman at the centre, and came away with a great selection of plants.

Just been to buy some plants for my revamped little garden pond . Excellent experience for me and my wife..Matt has a brilliant knowledge of plants and what is needed for the size and type of pond you may have..Price and quality is excellent..Definitely a hidden gem of a place..thank you..

As previous reviews say, this place looks a bit rundown, however the selection is vast. The owner is a lovely guy and knows his stuff. I explained what I was looking for and he made some great suggestions. Got 3 plants for £11. Definitely recommended, support this local business!

I visited Pikes Water Lilies today and met Matt the owner who is a lovely guy & very knowledgeable about the plants he grows and sells. As someone who loves plants I find it hilarious when you read 1 star reviews from people expecting their kids to be entertained whilst they look around, or 'it's not a proper garden centre" ....listen, I'm here to buy plants, full stop...and this guy is working hard to cultivate, grow and sell plants - and all for a fair price from what I imagine is a very low carbon footprint too. ...he's not importing mass produced cheap plants from Holland to sell at retail prices.
I don't come from this area, but local people should back local businesses like Pikes and Matt does and excellent job from what I can see.
I spent nearly £300 on pond plants for our natural pond, and the quality of the plants are superb. I'll be back to Pikes again without a doubt. Great place!

There’s an overwhelming selection of pond plants! Luckily we got some great advice on what we needed for our small wildlife pond. There’s not much labels or prices but the owner clearly really knows his stuff and is extremely helpful. We got 7 beautiful plants including a water lily for less than £60.

Visited a few week ago.Whether it's the time of year but I can't say I was impressed by my visit, my purchases or the price. 4 plant's for £36 quid. Told a lily would be £35 upwards.I'm hoping they will look better as the year goes on but they don't look impressive

Drove quite a long way to visit here going on the reviews. When we eventually found it we were shocked . The place is very run down and worse than that Matthew who I am sure is very knowledgeable was no where to be seen. We waited half an hour no prices on any of the plants and the water lilies in lakes that I'm sure will look lovely when they're in flower. We took our grandchildren and they were very disappointed with the whole experience.
