Our border collies Charlie and Rosie go on holidays to Hannah and Chris' Kennels. They absolutely love it. We would be lost without Hannah and Chris now as we were a little nervous when they first went. They deliver the best care and we wouldn't trust them with anyone else. I have a mini EBT who is quite needy. Chris, Hannah and the team have been absolutely amazing with him. They have helped me out at very short notice in doggy day care and he now scratches at the door to go in . Amazing place !!!

Both of our dogs stayed here for a week and we couldn’t have asked for better people to look after them . Hanna and Chris were so lovely they kept in touch sending photos and videos and our dogs had a great time. 😊

Sent our dog here for a week whilst we went on holiday and will be finding an alternative in future. Communication was awful/non-existent and we received no updates/photos of our dog whilst we were away, despite guarantees being made that we would. Spoken to in a rude and unprofessional manner when these concerns were raised.

We were told we’d receive a photo of the dog each evening but we didn’t receive a single one for the whole stay. We didn’t hear anything at all from Fraemar for the first 4 days, despite messaging every day for updates and receiving no replies. You begin to wonder why. Is the dog unwell/injured? Has the dog escaped and they don’t want to tell us? Is she being left on her own and not shown any attention? It doesn’t make for a very relaxing holiday. All we wanted was to see the dog looking happy to put our minds at ease but apparently Fraemar was “extra busy” that week and they didn’t get round to it, yet still had time to post photos of their kids painting on the Fraemar Facebook page. We don’t want to see your kids, we want to see that our dogs are OK.

The only time they were quick to respond was on the final day when we sent a message complaining about the lack of communication. This time Hanna phoned us almost instantly. I assumed she’d be ringing to say sorry for the poor service we’d received but there was zero apology or responsibility taken, just a load of excuses, telling me that her phone never stops and that other customers are understanding that she is a mother of 2. I understand times can be busy, but if your business doesn’t have the capacity to take on so many customers during summer holidays, then don’t take our money. After a while Hanna passed the phone to Chris who got aggressive with me for ringing on a Sunday evening (I didn’t even call, Hanna did) and for not keeping them updated (the irony) with our arrival time after our flight was delayed. He also proceeded to call me a liar about the time we’d said to collect the dog, even though we have email proof of this but (shock horror) that we received no reply to. Safe to say the phone call was extremely unprofessional and intimidating - no way to treat a paying customer. This created even more worry about leaving our dog for another night.

The only update we received was to tell us that the dog had been put by herself because she had snapped at a couple of dogs. She loves to play with other dogs but we had highlighted to Chris beforehand that she gets over-stimulated after being left with them for too long, especially with bigger dogs, and may need a timeout. This was never an issue when she attended daycare as they keep a close eye on the dogs. Not sure if this is the case at Fraemar after Chris said they watch over the dogs from the house using cameras. It was also disappointing that Chris tried to insinuate on the phone that I had lied about the character of our dog, despite us being open and up front about her likelihood of getting overwhelmed, especially in a new environment.

Chris & Hanna tried to say that their lack of communication was a one-off that week and that we were the only unlucky customers to unfortunately have our messages missed… but it was exactly the same when trying to book months previously. We had to chase Hanna 3 times over a number of weeks before we actually received a booking confirmation. Should have seen the red flags.

After picking the dog up Chris said they’d send the photos over that they took. A week on and this still hasn’t happened…

Can’t understand the previous reviews as it’s a completely opposite experience to the one we had and we won’t be using Fraemar again.

Not had my little rescue dog very long so was very anxious about leaving him there but I needn't of worried as Hannah & Chris took great care of him and he actually loved it. All the animals are exceptionally cared for and happy. 👍✨✨
