I make a special effort to visit this butcher, circa one hour round trip, just for the quality of the meat. Everyone serving is a ‘proper’ butcher cutting the meat to order. The beef and, in particular, the steaks are exceptional. Really friendly team and the deli has some great things to compliment. Also, the location is worth a visit - fantastic bakery, fresh vegetables, and a fishmonger at the weekend.

A Cut Above the Rest!

I visited Paul Shum Butchers in Yoxall after seeing it on the Hairy Bikers and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I was perusing the excellent display of vegetables outside as I had arrived prior to opening. Paul came over and started chatting which was lovely and offered that I could go in the shop and look and if I wanted to purchase anything, it wasn’t a problem.

Excellent service – all the staff were incredibly friendly. The service made me feel like a regular valued customer.

Wide range of produce – they for sure have this covered! Their selection is impressive, from meat to a magnificent cheese counter, pies, dairy, honey, the list goes on.

Outstanding meat quality & value. The Barnsley chops were exceptional and the Toulouse sausage the tastiest ever. They both cooked beautifully and melted in my mouth. A definite commitment to quality here.

Paul Shum Butchers is a gem in Yoxall. I’ll will definitely be returning for more culinary delights even though it was an hour’s drive for me.
