ordered a custom cake for my partners birthday. Received a shipping notification so assumed it was on the way. Then received an email to say the printing machine was broken and bizarrely they offered to send a blank cake instead?! I paid nearly £40 why would I want a blank cake. I opted for a refund which should have been completed within 14 days but 6 weeks later no refund I had to contact them to send my refund. Not impressed.

Absolutely appalled by the service. I order a helium balloon to be delivered and it arrived deflated. The lettering was peeling off the balloon and wasn’t inflated properly. I have since contacted them twice and still yet to hear a response from them. And to add, they had also written my email address on a sheet of paper which they had stuck to the outside of the box it was delivered in. I did not appreciate this as anyone could have come across this without me knowing and believe this goes against data protection too. I would not recommend.

Edit 30th November in response to comment from Party Pieces: thank you for responding to my review. I’ve emailed that address twice already, spoken with your colleagues twice and sent 3 messages via your website ticket system. I’m still waiting for a returns code to return my items and the address for return. Please could you provide this information. Thank you.

Not impressed to be honest. I ordered the selection of gold balloons and only half were in the packet. Although, the packet was already open when it arrived. See my photo to show what did arrive. I had to buy another balloon locally to make the display look better. I did however order a helium tank and it was easy to use. The package did arrive quite quickly, so that wasn’t so bad. It’s just a disappointing experience. I’ll shop locally in future. They did offer a speedy refund though.

Said it was free standard delivery for items over £30 despite items coming to nearly £50 and us not wanting delivery for 2 weeks later, it kept trying to charge us for next day deliberately with no option of removing and changing delivery. Very disappointing.

I am the daughter of a Party Pieces buyer, it was a delivery for my birthday and sadly for my mother it was a horrid experience with terms and conditions being Party Pieces’ get out of jail free card.

It was my 21st and my mother had decided to surprise me with a personalised ballon. She paid over £8.00 extra for a Saturday Delivery and was quite excited for me to receive this gift as a surprise for my birthday meal later on that evening. However the balloon did not arrive until Monday morning by which time she’d broken the news about what the surprise was, feeling bad that she had not been able to decorate the table the way she would have liked. I was the one who ended up answering the door for the package as she was out and it allowed me chance to enquire with the delivery driver if DPD didn’t deliver weekends. He out right told me it was supposed to be delivered on Saturday and he was unsure why it hadn’t.

The sad thing is the box that the balloon was in also came damaged and partially opened. I understand that to some people this would be an issue with DPD but I find the fact that Party Pieces have included in their terms and conditions about not being responsible for damage, late delivery, etc. I find this to be a case where by they know what delivery companies they use clearly are unreliable. They are clearly also aware that they are going to be the first point of contact for their customers in regards to these matters.

I can out right say that none of my family will be coming to Party Pieces again for any birthday supplies. At least not until they realise that they need their own delivery service or one that is top rated as clearly companies like DPD cannot be trusted to deliver Party Pieces goods in perfect condition.

Ballon’s turned up late and missed my son’s birthday. It’s also misleading that they would turn up inflated. I’ve contacting several times for a refund and no reply. I would not recommend anyone using this company.

Sent wrong item with a note to say 'the item you ordered has now sold out so we have sent you a replacement'. I didn't have tome to order anything else and wasn't happy with the replacement- should have been notified before shipping. Sent email to complain, but nobody responded. Do not order from this company.
