The owner who runs this small CL on the farm is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The site is well looked after with electric hookup ( for a small charge for the amount you use). It's very convenient for the M1.

Wonderful CL in glorious countryside. Pay As You Go electricity was easy I used precisely £1 despite bitterly cold weather. WiFi was strong too. A January night for my motorhome was £15.

Great to be back here after a 20-year break! Adrian the Boss is a friendly and patient chap, and very helpful

The view is excellent, tall buildings in down-town Leicester, 30 miles away, being identifiable, also as far west as Cannock Chase, and east to Waltham on the Wolds.

The site is generally sloping, so pitching requires some creative use of steadies and wooden blocks. There are two hard-standings, both level.

The "pay as you go" electrical system might be initially puzzling, but it's highly effective.

A walk "down the hill" will take you to The Risley Park pub in around half an hour. Be aware that this will include walking through long grass at some points which, if damp, may result in wet feet!

The i4 Derby-Nottingham bus has stops close to the pub.

Please be aware that this is a neat, tidy, but working farm and livery, so there will be vehicle movements.

Watch the aircraft departing from the other side of the valley at East Midlands Airport, and give thanks that you've chosen a vacation at a tranquil and special place. No queues or security checks here...

Nice small caravan site with a fabulous view. Set alongside a farm this Certified Location is convenient for a stop over being close to the M1 and an excellent base to explore the area. The final approach lane is untarred and has a couple of potholes so just take it easy to preserve the glasses and china! Lovely owners. Fair price and pay as you go charge for the electricity. All good. We'll be back. 😎 👍 👍 👍

Beautiful views, quiet, good dog walks. Levelling blocks required on most pitches. Entrance to farm on quite a sharp bend so can be missed. This was our 3rd stay, so happy to visit again.
