Really good meat, dearer than supermarkets, of course, but much better. Nice to know where your meat comes from and how the animals are treated. Great selection of meat products, all from the farm (except chicken from Sutton Hoo), inc. venison and other game.
So glad I found them! Henry is very knowledgeable and helpful. No more supermarket meat for me!

I was born on this farm in 1943 lived there for around 6 years first time of visiting again as we now live in clacton have just bought some meat which looked so good I wish I had more room in our freezer so could have gone really mad . Ment a young lad in the butchers who was very pleasant and listened to my story so thank you lad, will try and visit again next time making sure I have plenty of room in my freezer x ps. Tried breakfast sausages when we got home very tasty

Magnificent meat from the farm. Mostly from their own animals. Best burgers and sausages ever. Also have a website and do chilled deliveries. Looks a bit run down until you realise that there is a brand new butchery hidden in one of the old farm buildings. Just the best ever.

If you haven’t already, please try some of Paley farms delicious meat. I had the large lamb box which was filled with goodies and tasted phenomenal. Amazing value for pasture certified meat and I look forward to trying the pork, beef and venison. Fantastic customer service with instant replies and very friendly staff. I am delighted to have found this farm and I am sure that I will be purchasing meat from here for a very long time.

Having lived in the area for the past 16 years, I’ve tried most butchers within the vicinity and can honestly say that Paley Farm is by far the best I’ve found.

In terms of the ethos of the farm, it is also reassuring to know that animal welfare is truly a top priority and not just employed as a marketing stance. This care and attention is 100% reflected in terms of the quality of the resulting produce.

Customer service is also second to none and having been a customer now for the past year, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t entertain going anywhere else. In a word “exceptional”..!

I'm really pleased I found Paley Farm. Their ethics, consideration and passion are all evident from their meat.

I have tried the large lamb box, (a couple of times) and pasture pork, too. The lamb is extremely flavoursome and crisps up perfectly. My favourite products were lamb shoulder and chops. Paley Farm streaky bacon is superb, it has a uniquely incredible smell and flavour. I would promote their local produce over imports any day.

The meat is undoubtedly delicious, but I also praise Paley Farm for their accountability. Paley Farm, with their Pasture for Life certification, provide the opportunity to eat well-raised meat that is cared for humanely and fed what it designed to eat. Not only that but they are nourishing delicate ecosystems with grazing animals and protecting our local environment.

My one criticism is plastic packaging, in hoping to reduce my use of it, but also my consumption of micro plastics. However, after having a lovely long chat with the owner, I know they are looking greatly into this and it is at the forefront of their thoughts. I have to say it was great talking, because it became even more clear how passionate Paley Farm is about their regenerative agriculture.

Thank you Paley Farm for keeping me going in lockdown and for the foreseeable future.
