We visited OBG for a weekend, stayed in the large cabin and added on breakfast and the alpaca experience - and we loved every minute! The owner tells you how to interact with the alpacas, which helps you feel more confident with them - you can tell they are genuinely loved and cared for. The walk is really nice and feeding them too as you get to bond with them more and meet the ones you didn’t walk. Loved it and will 100% book another stay in future

We had the most gorgeous weekend at Our Back Garden, staying in the Alpaca cabin. I’ve been lucky enough to know Laura, Perry, Lade and John for a while now and every time I go back to the farm it’s more and more beautiful. It’s been lovely watching their alpaca heard grow as well as the growth on the farm. We loved our stay in the cabin, the view out onto the farm and the alpacas never gets old! It is beautifully furnished and feels so calm and peaceful - the wood burner and hot tub make for great additions and really completed our stay as did the Alpaca cafe to get our morning coffee. Laura was also able to book me a very last minute facial with Wumi from Ikeara skincare. This was an amazing experience and completed our relaxing weekend! Would highly recommend a stay here - thanks again guys!

A really great time, the farm is charming and the accommodation is excellent. The Alpaca meet and greet was well worth doing as they are so cute, and Laura is extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions!

Peaceful. Wonderful to be in the company of the beautiful Alpacas and our lovely host Laura and her family. Absolutely idyllic to stay and have some solace, watching the sun set over the Alpacas paddock. Just stunning. Once you've been once you will want to go again.

A spectacular and unforgettable alpaca walking experience 🥹 Thank you Our Back Garden for accommodating for us! We traveled through train; however, there was a trespasser on the rails and stopped our transport. No taxi/Uber nearby to give us a ride, so we had to walk 1.5 miles. Gave the farm a call that we would be late by 15 minutes, and they were extremely understanding and still gave us the whole 2 hour experience.

Wallet was sucked DRY when we got to the shop and bought 100% alpaca socks and a scarf, but no regrets and loved it so much. It was our choice, and the quality and price is better than what you would find online. Used the scarf as a pillow on the travel back home.

Loved it all from A to Z, and it’s obvious how deeply they care for the animals. They thoroughly planned out the path to make it enjoyable for people walking the alpacas and feeding them carrots is a major plus. I’ll miss William!! Wish I had a souvenir of that little guy. John doesn’t hesitate to answer any questions about the farm. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know Wispa!

What an amazing place, 5⭐. We went for the walking Alpacas 🦙 experience and it was truly fantastic. Laura was so lovely, explaining all that they do there with their 24 acres, taking us on our walk, serving our drinks and chatting. Its just wonderful and I'd love to swap places with them and live there myself.
The animals all looked very well looked after too.
They have a little shepherds hut to rent too which looks very nice. All in all a wonderful experience and I'm glad I went 😊 I even left Laura and her hubby some of my cooking apples from my tree 🍏

We were taken to this absolutely beautiful farm by family when we were on Hayling Island. We had a lite snack (yummy) and visited with John, Laura, Perry and Laddy (probably spelled wrong - very sorry). It is so peaceful on this farm with the alpacas and sheep wandering in the field beside the little cafe and gift shop. We were able to go into the field with the alpacas and sheep & feed the alpacas. I even got a beautiful cuddle from Bounty - she was so affectionate. I would recommend anyone visit if they are in the area of Mill Meadows Farm, Mill Lane, Westbourne (near Emsworth), West Sussex, PO10 8RT. This family is so warm and welcoming.

We visited Our Back Garden in mid-August during the hot weather spell and had a brilliant experience from start to finish! Laura was great at updating us about the hot weather plans where she - sensibly - suggested condensing the walk from an hour to 20 minutes, which was spot on considering we had three under 5s with us. Laura was welcoming, informative and friendly throughout our experience and we felt like we had a really magical outing; spending time, not only with the alpacas, but also seeing the cows and sheep on the land as well! The added bonus was enjoying our picnic in the paddock in the shade, accompanied by Whisper who is still small enough to sneak under the ropes! It was brilliant - we will definitely be back! Thank you again - a big thumbs up from all of us.
