These chutneys are simply incredible. I was born and raised in Devon and thankfully my Father still lives there as he brings Ottervale chutneys with him when he visits me in London. I'm an Executive Chef of 25 years in some of London's largest and most illustrious B & I contracts. I am fortunate to have worked with some of the best chefs in the industry along with having access to London's leading ingredients and produce supply yet I haven't had chutneys as good as Ottervales. Each chutney has it's own identity with clear and bold flavour profiles. The ingredients used are of the highest quality that really shines through with impact and flavour. It's impossible to pick a favourite chutney as they're all so unique and lend themselves and partner with different foods respectively. The flavours are unique, exciting and work so well together, so many chutneys fall short for me in this respect, impressive. A few examples of my recent pairings .. Fire chutney with Epoisses, Onion & pineapple chutney with braised pork belly, incredible. Most would identify chutney as an accompaniment or condiment to assist another product- these chutneys are the star of the show!

It makes me very proud to come from Devon.

Best Chutney ever. We used to be able to buy the Onion and pineapple Chutney when we lived in Plymouth but since moving to Peterborough we haven't been able to find it anywhere. So really pleased to find we can order it online. Brilliant price and very quick delivery. Easy to order and it was packaged really well. Will definitely be ordering again in the future. I received some chutney for my birthday in gin gift box. I never finish a jar of chutney, but I practically ate the onion and pineapple with a spoon straight out of the jar. It's now gone in only 4 days. I've gone back myself for a taster pack to see if any others are that good and then its watch out I'm afraid, I'm coming for my favourites!
Onion and pineapple chutney is so weird but yummy, I was expecting caramelised onion and was thinking oh lord another meh chutney ... its pickled onion, you can actually taste the pickled onion, which totally flummoxed me in the beginning and then obsessed me! It's blooming gorgeous! ?
