If you can secure a table in the decking/conservatory area then its nice but pricey
Visited on Sunday, 09th February 2025, for brunch. Third visit (2020 & 2022) and nothing had changed really but though its still a nice place to eat (if you manage to secure a place in the enclosed decking/conservatory area at least) its a little pricey for the portion sizes as you appear to be paying for the location rather than what is on offer. No dogs allowed, which is a shame, and you can't book the decking/conservatory area, so you have to take your chances if it's busy as to whether there is space available. If there isn't, I wouldn't bother staying, as the contrast with the interior seating is quite stark as to your view.

Went there a few days ago and I loved all of it. The fish and chips portion was adequate, and the fries were crunchy. I like that it came with salad!
The service was incredibly attentive, and so kind!
You can also sit outside and have panoramic views!

Magnificent place, a sublime breakfast ,with sea views😍 !
I'm Italian and I've been living in the UK for almost 10 years now and this is one of the best places I've had a good coffee. The staff is super efficient and very kind. I hope I still have the chance to come back. Local and toilet very clean! Never change, you're perfect! 🤩

P. S. By the way, one of the few places where there is a toilet! 😅

Lovely spot by the sea! We had the coconut prawns, steak fillets, calamari, and garlic mushrooms — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The coconut prawns were especially delicious! Great service, nice atmosphere, and beautiful views. Highly recommend for a quality seafood meal in Southend.

We dropped into Ocean Beach for a late lunch this weekend after a long seaside walk. It was still very busy even at this time, which generally bodes well, but we were lucky enough to bag a sea-view table with a bit of help from the staff.

In many respects this is the draw of Ocean Beach - the fact that you can look out over the beach and out to the pier. It really is an excellent location.

But luckily the food is also pretty good which explains why every table was full. We ordered a mixture of tapas dishes along with fish & chips and a prawn ciabatta. These arrived promptly and in most respects were excellent with the fish being both fresh and sizeable. The chips weren't quite as good, being a bit chewy, but they were good enough.

Overall then we enjoyed a very pleasant lunch here by the beach. The restaurant delivers on its promises and it certainly helped us recover from our exertions.

Great surroundings with superb views.
Unfortunately the food didn't match. I had a Steak & Guinness pie with sauteed veg & mash. The pie was tasty enough but so dry,no gravy at all. As for the veg, they were simply and overly boiled without taste.
There were plenty of waiting staff,but hardly bothered checking tables, we had to go to them for a jug of gravy or a dessert menu,which incidentally was given to us and not followed up,again we had to go and ask for the bill instead of anyone even noticing.
This was an overpriced, underwhelming meal with little service for the price.
Left disappointed!!

I came with all my family today around 20 of us for a reunion, and we had a lovely time. We didn’t feel like we were being bothered, food was beautiful and drinks also. Everything came quickly and service was on point. Thank you again. Have been before and will definitely return 🙂

Lovely place, attentive staff, food was served quick and was nice and hot. The hollandaise sauce came in a separate pot which was good. Hash browns lovely and crispy. Comfortable seating. The place was quite noisy from the chatter of others, but people were just enjoying their morning I guess.
