Fished the Oak lake for 24 hours overnight.
Friendly staff made us all feel welcome (group of 7)
And a Lovely lake.
Toilets could do with a revamp and the shop could stay open a little longer but on the
Plus side with takeaways available to the car park.
Unfortunately we didn’t catch any Carp (maybe due to overfishing after lockdown) just a few tench caught, but we would definitely return for a overnight session to finally catch a Oak lake Carp.

Booked pegs 1,2 and 3 on oak lake
When we arrived we was showed to our pegs by a balif. We set up for our 24hr session then was told we were in the wrong pegs and had to move to pegs 20,21 and 22
Where the decking especially on peg 21 is unsafe.
I wouldn't mind but the swims we moved from stayed empty the whole time we was there.

There was a large gathering across the lake that had no thought for anyone else on the lake. With there loud music and fires.

Overall i did not enjoy my stay here and wont be recommending to anyone.

More of a camp site then fishing lake.
Not what you know, more who you know here!
People having fires, cars driven to pegs when sign clearly says NO CARS also having some sort of party over as could hear what was being said.
Dead fishes on the surface.
Get told we are booked on the wrong pegs just so they can have their party! Could of advised need a pod when going on back pegs from the oak lake as decking falling apart and know where for bank sticks 😠
Wouldn't bother here unless your after a Camping trip instead of fishing

First time today and wow what a place! Very well maintained throughout. Peaceful, welcoming atmosphere. The toilets were immaculate and has a shower cubicle inside. We had a breakfast in the cafe and omg so delicious!! The staff were very friendly and we had a good laugh with them.

I am a beginner and was float fishing. I caught a nice amount of small fish which I was overjoyed with. Nothing big but I didn't have the set up for big fish however we did see a fair few big boys swimming around. We was so impressed with this place that were going back this weekend to stay the whole weekend!

Very well organised. Toilets and shower facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly. They serve coffee and full English Breakfast. Lovely place for a weekend to relax!

Fished here twice on a day ticket. Well kept fishery with a good varied stock. Two match lakes along with a 'Predator' lake and a Members only Carp lake.

Great bailiffs. Helpful, friendly along with a great sense of humour.

NB: Best to book a day ticket in advance but if not busy you may get a swim just turning up.
