We do go to Notcutts and meet friends for coffee and lunch quite regularly. The last twice we have been the cafe area has been unusually cold, especially this tuesday. We saw 5 different groups of people change tables to try and find somewhere warmer to sit, we had to keep our coats on to stay warm whilst we were in the cafe. We heard a few tables all comment on how cold it was. Whether they are trying to keep costs down by turning the heating down will only cost them customers. We will now think twice before going there, it's a shame as the cafe area is lovely

Just been here for a quick visit to get a drink and bite to eat. But we noticed a sign to the notcutts nature trail.
Curiosity took hold and found an entrance behind the sheds for sale that went into a field turned into a nature trail. It was very peaceful and we were the only ones in it apart from birds and insects. Loads of plants and bug houses, there were blackberry bushes apples trees and other fruit just planted for the wildlife.
It was so nice to see a garden centre putting land back to nature and not doing it for profit as they did not charge to go in. You can follow the path around and enjoy the peace. Over the far side there is a bird feeding center and a wooden bench to sit and watch. Unfortunately the feeders were empty this time, hopefully next time we will be luck to catch them with feed in and we will see some native birds.

Well done notcutts hopefully other garden centres will follow your lead.

A nice, huge cafe in this garden centre (in fact it's more of an out of town utility store, with Cotton Traders, Edinburgh Woolen Mill and more).
But anyway, the cafe is big, a pretty good value for 2024, with sandwiches, baked potatoes, and more.
When you order, you get a buzzer for the table, and then food is brought to you when it's ready.

Very well presented and laid out. A good range of plants and looked well taken care of. It was my first visit and I lover it. Price is comparable to other garden centres.

The food is absolutely inedible. We went for breakfast. Sausages so hard you could hammer in nails with it. Watery eggs . Never before have I seen brown scrambled eggs. !!! Will definitely never order food here again.

This is our local garden centre and we do enjoy it. We’ve often come to the cafe for a coffee and cake which has always been nice. This time we had lunch. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.

I had a salad with ham and was blown away with two big thick cuts of ham. And a tasty salad too. The newish larger cafe and outdoor seating area are very nice.

I went with friends recently and had pre-booked the Christmas menu. The food was very nice and good value but I wanted to give a shout out to the three servers who were exceptional, friendly, helpful and made it a very enjoyable visit.

Lovely garden centre that sells high quality kitchenware, toys, and pet products as well as the garden related stuff. Great cafe with playground. The plant selection is vast and there us an excellent range of pots.
