We stayed here for a long week end in our large family tent. My husband, my 2 year old, 10 year old and dog. The toilets were ok, a hole in the ground with sawdust, plenty of loo roll supplied and hand sanitiser. The washing up sinks are outside, plenty of warm water but no cover if it rains. Showers were powerful and hot and never a queue. Probably the best we've used at a campsite. We loved the amount of space available and the kids loved playing in the hay bales. You can have a campfire too which was brilliant. It felt like proper camping and the kids have asked to go again in future. However, out of the 3 nights we stayed, all were very loud. Loud enough to wake us all, repeatedly, until 2am. We enjoyed playing the car radio at 7.30am for some pay back and were told at 8am by "security" that this is a "no music site". They were nowhere to be seen for the previous 3 nights, so perhaps we should have called reception and complained. This site could be amazing if they patrolled it a little better. We had fun, the only dampener being the 2am parties, singing and blaring music. Perhaps a 12am cut off or just a better controlling of the rules would be useful.

This is split into two parts really. First, the camp site is a great location, huge space right at the foot of the White Horse and feels really like old-fashioned camping. There are a number of toilets in every field which aren't too bad. Toilet paper provided and although a big hole in the ground, the hole is so deep that it doesn't get too bad at all and they are regularly cleaned. The showers and sink units have hot running water. In fact the showers are great-lots of room to hang clothes and very powerful showers.
The only drawback is what others have mentioned here. There are a few campers who really aren't considerate at all and play music late into the night and talk or sing loudly. we had this way past midnight and up to 2am so not ideal for families. Noone is keeping that in check unlike on the main site across the road.
But overall, if you can bring earplugs and luck is on your side in terms of noisy neighbours, then it is decent value and relaxed. Worth a visit overall.

As a group we have been coming for 6ish years and I have been going for 3 of those. Normally it is excellent, very close to the pub, good facilities. The only downside was that the toilets were full and not emptied on the last weekend leaving us to need to go off site to use the toilet. ||As others have said there was also the issue of loud music until 4am on the last night (30th) We called for the security, but they continued well into the morning.

We camped here for 3 nights after not being able to get into Eweleaze or Southdown - both of which we had stayed at before. In some ways this site is more our cup of tea - basic facilities, not over crowded and the feeling of being in the middle of no where.||The facilities are basic - big fields where you can pitch where you fancy, water taps, a few compost toilets and a few washing up points. There is also a small shower block in one of the fields. The toilets were clean and kept well stocked with loo roll. There are hay bales in the middle of each field to keep the kids occupied.||The road to the campsite isn’t for the faint hearted and being in a valley this site doesn’t benefit from the amazing views of its sister sites. But the landscape is still really lovely and the beach is a short drive away or an energetic trek!||The issue with this site though is that there is absolutely no staffing in place. The pitch we ended up with was covered in litter and broken glass was in the fire pit. When we asked about wood we were told to contact the reception at Eweleaze re a delivery. We ended up walking there but on arrival were told they only deliver to the pre erected bell tents and we would need to drive back to Eweleaze to pick up a couple of bags. Surely a daily log delivery to the site isn’t too much to provide when your operation is as slick as the one Eweleaze now runs.||The main issue though is the night time noise. Multiple groups of adults competing with each other to play their music the loudest and shout and scream the longest into the night. We ended up leaving a day early as with small children couldn’t hack another night of being kept up until past 2am. There was no info on who to call to ask people to quiet down and reading other reviews it appears that this is an ongoing problem. Maybe this needs to be an adults only campsite or if it is going to be pitched as family friendly there needs to be more of a presence. It just felt like the Eweleaze operation marketed it as part of the Eweleaze experience but actually just took your money and ran!||It’s a shame as it has lots of potential to stay basic but still deliver - even if they had an adults only field it would probably make a difference to the noise disturbance.

The location was lovely and it was great to see the young children running around and enjoying themselves. Toilets and showers were ok too. Only downfall for us was that we,had booked and paid for two nights there. On our first night a group of about eight to ten teenagers decided to begin a really loud rave party with strobe lights at 2am and kept everyone awake until the rain stopped them. I've been to other campsites a lot cheaper than this and groups like these wouldn't have got in to cause trouble for everyone else. There was no owner on site to ask them to be considerate to everyone else. They were still there on the evening of the second night so we packed up and left to go somewhere else as I couldn't be doing with another night like the last. It was a shame as otherwise it would have been good as the other campers were lovely and I liked the atmosphere. I wouldn't go here again.

We booked by the end of July. Lots of space to set our tent and we decided to go by the first section in the middle of the field. There are toilets with sanitiser on each point, 2 points of water collection with hand soap, a block of showers and a space for sink to wash dishes where hot water is provided. The toilets were clean everyday and the same with the points of general waste and recycling we could see them very often doing the checks through the day.||The main contact of Eewalaze, Peter, was helpful and listen to enquiries as we asked for compost in toilets a they were provided the same day. There was also a “hay square” where children can play and beach is 30 minutes away on foot. There is a pub nearby and the co-op in 15 minutes walking . We like the land was plane which makes easy to find a good spot to set the tent. About the noise, it happened in other camps and after the first night where we had a windy storm we slept like rocks and I have a 6 years old boy!. Probably just stabilising some hours for noise could help for those who have small kids. We definitely book for next year as is very close to villages, restaurants, beaches and beautiful walks around the area.

If you like raves, chanting and screaming until gone 4am and absolutely nothing done by the owner to stop it, then you'll love this campsite. Had friends staying on a neighbouring campsite a couple of fields away and the noise travelled right to them and kept them up too. Multiple phone calls to the owner did absolutely nothing.

I stayed here with a few friends for three nights and found that it satisfied most of our needs. There was plenty of space for us to pitch our tents and lots of space that we could go to away from everyone else. There was no toilet in our field but we could go through a style through the bushes to the nearest one however this was very broken by the end of our stay. The showers are decent however could probably do with a few more across the campsite as there were often short queues for them. ||||The only slight downer for this sight is the hill to get down to the campsite. The road is one way for the majority of the hill and very steep. We founds it quite hard to get the cars down and up without meeting someone and having to reverse to try and find a place we could pass. Not to mention the road itself is a dusty uneven track which had the potential to do some big damage to a vehicle if you are not extremely careful. So my advice is to not come here if your car has low suspension as odds are you will not be able to safely get it down and then up the hill
