The national park is situated perfectly at the top of Sutton bank and has plenty of parking (£2.50 for 2 hours). There is a visitor centre and various length's of walks you can do. We headed over the road to do the one past the gliding club to the white horse. It was fantastic to see the gliders being towed up into the air at such close range and our son and his friends enjoyed riding their bikes while we walked and looked out over the amazing views. We have said many a time as we passed on our way to Helmsley that we should stop and are very glad we did.
