Bought some pies, sausage rolls, frozen pork with honey and mustard (£7.60)x2 and Aberdeen Angus beef olive £7.70)x2 The pies were ok, the sausage rolls ok, but small. The pork with honey and mustard we found extremely watery, the pork tasteless, and too sweet (I know there is honey in it, but still too sweet) not good at all, especially for £7.60 each, it's not worth it, I expected better from a farm shop.

Amazing farm butcher. We ordered rib eye on the bone and we tried their home made sausage. Pies and pasties are gorgeous. Here is a selection of some of our cooking at home. Yes we love our steaks.

Best farm shop in the area...local meats, high quality cuts from experienced butcher on site. Delicious pies, speciality sausages, great cheese and general dairy selection. Fresh and frozen means go their for something for tea but stock up freezer at same time. Never disappointed us for 20 years or more...

NORTH ACOMB FARM SHOP

This tiny gem of foodie heaven is located just off the A69 heading West. North Acomb Farm Shop is part of a working farm so the provenance of the product is undoubted. Although the shop is small, the range of meat based items is worth the trip and everything I've tasted has been top quality. Their pork pies are a personal favourite, but prepared meals, lamb, beef and pork joints are also superb.

Lots of farm products available, but definitely my choice for meats and cumberland sausages, which are probably the best in the North East! Great service, worth my drive from Newcastle.

People talk the "Farm Shop", what they are dreaming about is something like North Acomb. Proper food! Pies, ready meals, fresh veg, fresh eggs, real butter, honey and Cheese to die for. If you want feel good about yourself the overwhelming majority of foodstuffs have to club together to make a food mile. Real food, sensible prices, great value.

Bought our Christmas gammon joint here! Great selection of quality foods and treats, all locally produced. Recommend the pork and leek sausage with wholegrain mustard and home cured bacon!
