I put my lawnmower in for service, which is fine, but there is no contact number. (not that I can see anyway) Not very helpful in that it's been 2.5 weeks now and I'd like to know if it's ready. To be fair, I was told three weeks , but a contact number would be very helpful.
I did find the phone number, which I'd completely overlooked and for which I profoundly apologise. I collected my mower today and tried it as soon as I got home. To my delight it started first time, something which it never did before; a testament to the good service it has received. I highly recommend this guy.

I don't know who I spoke with but he was arrogant, I went for a chain for my chainsaw, I had make, model, bar size and linkage, he basically spoke to me like I was an idiot, and proceeded to tell me what an expert he is when it comes to chainsaws, and without seeing the old chain he couldn't sell me one. Went round the corner and got one from Screwfix (Oregon Chain), slug it on when I got home, zero higher knowledge required. Shame as I would rather support local businesses.

I took my old lawnmower in for repair, it was 22 years old and had sentimental value. Jim was brutally honest and rather than just repair it and take my money he highlighted the faults in the metalwork, the thing was just too far gone. It going to be a money pit, and eventually become dangerous and break anyways.

There was no hard sell or suggestion I look at a new one but while I was there I enquired about some of the machines. I am really glad I did.

I picked one out but on finding out how much grass I had, it was clearly the wrong model and I’d have regretted it, he suggested the Cobra MX460SPC. It’s self propelling, a feature I hadn’t considered, which is really useful for my garden, also the 3 in 1 collection system is handy.

He didn’t have it on display but invited me in to check it out the next day, again, no hard sell, just good honest advice.

I bought it the next day, it comes with a two year warranty and as I bought it in the shop, any issues i have peace of mind knowing I can take it back to them.

Anything I can do to reduce the importance of the insane 1 star review is worthwhile. I've had nothing but trouble with my Countax C500h for the last 6-7 years. Other local guys couldn't fix it properly, it's always ran badly and had trouble starting it. These guys were recommended to me, and honestly, it's like a different machine. I'm so pleased, not only with the machine, but with the price too. Nice people as well. can't recommend them highly enough

I need to say this cause I think it's ridiculous, reading the comments I came to one that gave a 1 star but the 1 star was no for the service the were provided for a machine that had serviced or a anything like this 😳 but because he spat the dummy out that this small business would not knock of £40 because the customer could buy it direct from the company for £40 less lol what he doesn't realise is if this breaks down he has to call the company arrangements have to be made for the machine to go to a shop that trades for them or possibly sent back to the company, wich means he has to drain all fluids from it before transport then he has to package it, instead of putting it in his car and taking it back to this business who would probably fix it either the same day if possible or soon as they had the parts lol £40 well spent I'd say, imagine that happens more than once hahaha good luck with that 😉

These boys are the best at what they do. If you want proper advice and someone who knows what they are doing , give them a call. Value for money is excellent too.
