Miles Japanese Maples - Pulborough

I found Miles when searching for a Japanese Maple in the local area. He had a much bigger (and healthier looking) selection than the nurseries I'd been to in the area. I like getting advice on plant purchases as I'm generally pretty clueless about how to plant, where to plant, how to care for it and so on - I'd like to get it right though and that's where I thought Miles was brilliant. Really helpful, lots of great advice and all in a friendly way.

I contacted Miles for advice about 3 Japanese maples to assess their condition and find them suitable homes in my garden. It was very easy to arrange a visit, and on-site he thoroughly evaluated the trees and helped me understand what’s needed to establish them and keep them healthy: placement, nutrition, pest control - I learned a lot! Miles is a wonderful ambassador and font of knowledge for all things japanese maple.
We contacted Miles to arrange a visit and enquired about a specific japanese maple that he had in in stock. We travelled to collect the maple, and Miles shared so much invaluable information with us and did not rush us at all during our visit. We ended leaving with three maples, it could easily have been more but we are planning another visit soon as the quality of his maples is second to none.

Excellent service. I contacted Miles to enquire about the Maples he had available and their size. He always responded promptly and in full, sending pictures and answered all questions. Exceptional quality of well grown Japanese Maples with harder to find cultivars that the collector will appreciate.
Add in Miles who is knowledgeable and a perfect host if visiting and excellent at corresponding to email enquiries.

Visited the nursery to purchase an acer 'Emerald Lace'. Very impressed with the environmentally sound way the plants are grown, especially the airated 'pots' which allow roots to spiral outwards instead of clumping at bottom. Grown outside all year round from cuttings, therefore ideally suited to the English garden. Detailed information on website re growing and care. Look forward to the emerging leaves next spring!
