Just phoned to ask what closing time was to pick up some pies.
Told me to be there for 1pm so I don’t miss out cos he didn’t want to throw any away.
Just hung up on me.
Spent a lot of money in here over the years.
Not getting 1 more penny ..

Visit Metcalfes regularly and always at Christmas for 6 stand pies.
Queued on Friday morning for at least half an hour and got into the shop at 10.15 to find they had no stand pies and wouldn't have until the afternoon!!

They had loads of small pies!!
Staff were also very uninterested.
Not good for all the people behind us in the queue.
Luckily managed to get some from another shop who put customers first.

‘Oh dear ! WHAT has gone wrong here with their pork pies ? Used to be THE best.
Now, understandably, a bit dearer AND a bit smaller. - Hasn’t everything ? But bought
4 today, rock hard meat - awful ! all went in the bin ! ? please get back to ‘as was’
Like many more ‘regulars’ we’re off to Collins next. People will NOT pay for rubbish !

Got steak pie this morning it was the worst steak pie ever the filling was mince the pastry was inedible rock hard never again the pies here used to be amazing what’s happened

I purchased some pork pies on Saturday morning i I have to say they have gone right down in. Pasrty not crisp hardly and meat in the pie. And to say they have increased there prices they need to up there game. I won’t be returning anytime time soon as Colin’s up the road are far better.
