My first visit today with my daughter. I have lived in the area 10 years and this place has been recommended by a few people, with work and life I'd forget it was there. The gentleman who owns the farm shop is lovely, very helpful, kind and chatty. The fresh produce smell hits you as you walk in. I would highly recommend,

Love that we have this facility in Kirkby. Try and shop local when I can. Was happy when Peter was owner. Now it's changed hands the shop has moved into the 21st century.
Great produce much better than supermarket fruit and veg. at reasonable prices. The extras are always great too. Home baked sourdough is delicious. It's now a bright and welcoming shop. Looks fantastic.Just waiting for the coffee shop to open Dave! ?

New owners are really trying to put this place on the map. New products and a good clean have helped immensely. Tasty steaks and the most beautiful biscuits are a must from here. Plus great plants and compost / bark at very very reasonable prices

Dave has a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, diary, biscuits, and many day to day food items. Fresh sourdough bread bloomers delivered on Wednesdays have been a huge hit, a good range of pet and wildlife foods and treats. A huge selection of confectionery for the young and older cliental. Plants, planters made to order, soil, and peat for you green fingers out there. Dave loves to support and showcase independent sellers with candles, wax melts, and holders. I brought one, the scents are amazing. The range of eggs is growing from chicken to huge duck eggs, all free range. Soon to arrive is a local in-house butcher. Lovely range of great quality mini ice cream pots. I can happily promote Dave's Melling Farm Shop as a regular. I am in every week and love to try all new brands. Cheese and chutneys have been my latest. Dave is looking at starting a coffee van, which will be a great asset. Plenty of parking, so take a trip to The Melling Farm Shop and see for yourself, don't just take my word for it.

Fab farm shop have went their for years always had a chat with peter. New owner has made such a difference too the shop always greets you making you feel welcome . Lovely fruit and veggies and fresh produce , bread and flowers
Would highly recommend have now moved away to Fazakerley but still visit when I'm out n about always worth a visit

Much better since new owner took over, renovated a little and lots of fresh stock to choose from as well as gifts and treats. So happy they now sell plants too.

The shop is looking and feeling much better since the takeover. Nice atmosphere and good customer service. Good range of produce…would be a good attraction if a coffee shop was added

I enjoy going in just to see what’s in the chiller cabinet and can get very disappointed if I’ve left it too late! Steaks, pies, sausages - always something a bit different for Saturday teatime. Well done new owners!
