If I could give less that one star I would. The rudest woman I’ve ever met. I went with my mum a few years ago to buy some bantams. I selected the chickens I wanted so she tried to catch them. She grabbed and pulled them by the tail. Once they were in the boot of our car I gave her the coins I have been saving up for months. She went off to count it out and was back very quickly, dumped the bag of coins in my mum’s hand, got the chickens out of the boot and walked off telling us to go to the cash point. Really upset my mum and I and have never been back. In the end we found a wonderful guy who breads chickens and we ended up hatching 6 successful eggs and he also brought three 2 week old chicks. He even dropped them to our house and accepted the cash.

Bought 3 beautiful bantam hens.
Very clean and tidy place. The owner was Friendly and knowledgeable. Gentle and kind with the birds, who are very sweet natured and calm. We can tell they will be confident and characterful, once they settle in with the others.

Omg! This place is amazing! You can buy any breed of chickens you want!
They keep the place very clean!
It’s a Paradise for chicken lovers! Janette is so knowledgeable and the nicest person we ever met!
We bought Pekins, Belgium bantams Watermael, Silver Sablepoot and Serama! They are very healthy and each one have amazing personality! Best is the Watermael! They are very small and better than guard dogs! They very brave! They will chase Magpies, Squirrels and even cats! I’m thinking to get two more😈
Serama are amazing too! They are perfect to be kept at home! Very friendly!
They also have rabbits, guinea pigs and other small animals!
Why would you hatch eggs if you could have any chickens you want from Meadowvale Poultry!

Thank you so much to the best chicken lady. The Mavis' have settled and are already laying. The blue egg layer is only laying double yolkers. We will be recommending you to all of our chicken lovers x
Just wanted to add a note. We entered some ofour eggs into the south of england show and won best in show for our blue eggs abd 1st place for contents. We couldn't be happier with the girls.

Me and my partner bought chickens from this place and couldn't believe the lies that the owner was saying. They said they are hand fed and only ate mesh I went to feed them after letting them settle for a while by hand and they were too scared to come close even my partner tried and got the same result also saying they only ate mesh was a lie as we have mixed chicken food and they love it as well as and scraps they love it as well. Most likely never buying from here again

Miserable rude owner!
We went up to have a look (have a very excited son) - said our coup needs to be built but my son couldn’t wait and wanted to see what birds he could get

The lady wasn’t at all interested… basically told go away untill we was ready to buy.

Wouldn’t let us buy any feeders while we was there. Just felt we was wasting her time.

Went 10 min up the road to another farm and they was so helpful - let us reserve 4 bantams for my son, went back today to pick them up… very happy chickens & Son.

Glad this lady was rude otherwise we wouldn’t of found the other local farm!

Great selection, facility, friendly and knowledgeable with the animals' best interests at heart. I took my mum to pick up 2-3 hens today as one of her old hens passed away yesterday, and she didn't want to have one on her own.

The hens are incredibly healthy and did not make a PEEP in the car on the way back. When we opened the boot, they just looked at us and two were sat down happily. I drove carefully and I've had a lot of experience driving animals (horses) but I really didn't expect them to be so calm!

We put them in their pen and they immediately started pecking through the grass as though nothing had happened to them. Coco - mum's old hen - is the only one who seems to be a bit put out about the experience! I only wish all animals were so relaxed to transport!

Would not hesitate to recommend.
