We really enjoyed picking fruit today. Everything was delicious, and my little one had a lot of fun too. We usually shop there almost every week. It's my favorite place for buying fruit, vegetables, meat, and eggs. They also have a nice little café, and you can buy indoor and outdoor plants as well. The cakes are great too!

Very good farm shop. Good range of fresh veg all good quality, vast range of jams and pickles. Good car park with good wide spaces so easy to park and use both side doors. Also has very good cafe serving meals from "just a snack" to quite filling meals. Will recommend the quiche, the chicken bacon mayo sandwiches, and the good soups.

Lovely farm for PYO, you have to book in advance though. They have a good variety in the shop too and maybe a diversity in staff would be good too 🙂 after all it is 2024.

We have been coming to Malt Kiln annually for pumpkin picking since 2018 and have always had brilliant experiences until this year.

The guy who served us at the hatch to go down to the pumpkin patch was definitely on something. His eyes were like saucers.

Whilst there were more lovely photo opportunities than ever, the pumpkin patch itself was more like a graveyard where pumpkins go to die. The majority of them had gone and the ones that were left were all either smashed open or completely rotten. It took us over an hour to try to find 3 half decent pumpkins for the children. Whilst they still enjoyed the experience, you could tell they were disappointed and even the oldest one commented on the state of the pumpkins that were there.

The pumpkins were pricey at £8.49 for 3 relatively small pumpkins. It has always been a little pricey but you pay for the experience more than anything (on top of £3 entry per car) but it just seemed like a waste of money this year for a not very good experience and low quality pumpkins. People have even commented on my Facebook pictures saying how rotten all the pumpkins look.

The farm shop was half empty and no pumpkins for sale in there either. One staff member shouted at one of the children not to touch the eggs... She wasn't even anywhere near them and had simply pointed and said "look at those eggs!" It was completely unnecessary.

After 6 years of religiously coming to Malt Kilns pumpkin patch, I'm sorry to say that this is likely to be our last visit. Very disappointing.

This is a great place to go. There's plenty of car parking for disabled as well it's easy to get in and move about if your disabled .This place you can go and buy plants as well But going inside it's got vegetables, fruit cheeses. It's got a butcher counter. It's got fresh fruit. They grow their own. You can buy cakes and lots of other things they sell a small selection of frozen food . There's quite a few gifts for presents ,they sells wine and they've got a great cafe to have something to eat in. They also have toilets and a disabled toilet as well. This is a great place to go. Children love the pick your own.

Went for breakfast which was lovely, made with fresh quality ingredients,it arrived promptly. However the staff member who was on the till was abrupt to the point of being rude.....a smile and a thank you would have gone down well, in fact I don't think she smiled the whole time we were there!! There are a lot of places selling high quality food, many where the service is excellent too

A really well stocked farm shop with lots of different produce/variety. The cafe is lovely, great cakes, varied menu and friendly/helpful staff. My only negative would be the play area - it looks great + has so much potential but it could be so much more

Nice lunch but shame they cannot fry an egg properly - never sure why people deliberately overcook an egg - especially when it is the 'sauce' to go with the ham and wedges - otherwise nice and tasty - if a touch on the pricey side. The shops has lots of nice gifts and groceries but again more Waitrose than Aldi on the price front
