Service and communication non existent, totally useless and a complete waste of space.

After buying a chainsaw from here for over £250, yes over £250, I returned sometime later to have it sharpened. After nearly a month I had heard nothing and after visiting the shop was told they had tried to phone me. However no missed calls had been received or messages left on my answer machines either on my landline or mobile.

Now recently I returned with a small problem and was told it was a 30-40 minute job. I was informed it might be ready later in the day, or if not it will be taken home and done there. Late morning the following day I had heard nothing again, so I went to the shop and was told plans had changed and they hadn’t had time to do it. As this was yet another disappointing experience from this local shop I decided to take my chainsaw elsewhere and will certainly now never return.

If I could give 0* I would.

Have to say it's not often I'd write a review, but the owner of Makara Mowers was great helped with getting the right bit of kit which was on the shelf, didn't have the blade but offered to sharpen mine there and then in and out in 10 minutes and a great chat about making sure you service the mower more haha once in 4 years was a bit extreme.

Hi guys took my strimmer in for repair & said to Darren as I was going away did not need straight away. Well 3& half hrs later all done .I must say incredibly service & great price. Did not expect this level of service. Hats off to Darren. Thank-you.

Used Makara Mowers for the first time to fix the dwindling self propelled action on our Honda mower. Darren was great in recommending what was required and quickly repaired the mower. He warned the mower would be quick off the mark, my goodness he was right! Thanks Darren and your guys at Makara Mowers.

When Darren told me that he'd have my old mower looking like new after the service I was a little sceptical - but then I walked back in to the shop a week later and didn't even recognise it! Fantastic service, clearly very knowledgeable and very professional. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Had difficulties finding somewhere to get my mower serviced asap as I needed a quick turn around for work. These guys serviced and cleaned my mower within a week at a lower price than quoted anywhere else. Bonus is they also have a sharpening service!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 5*

I visited the shop for some advice on garden tools as I am a complete newbie when it comes to this. Was greeted by a friendly gentleman who helped me with all the questions I could throw at him.

Ended up buying some very good quality products at a great price. Would recommended them very highly!!
