I came to this "butcher shop" because was one of the few open after 5 on a Sunday...and I made a mistake.
When I got in almost all the meat was wrapped, I asked for fillet steak
The guy behind the counter picked up a piece in a hurry fashion, and asked how much I wanted.
I said a better big fat steak, he cut it and weighted it.
I must say when he picked up the meat "fillet" piece I was suspicious because it didn't look like a fillet, but I went with it anyway, he was rushing and not very friendly so I didn't want to cause any issues.
The price for a 250 g of fillet steak was £2.23 that's when I knew I had been ripped off.
But it was a weird feeling inside the shop and I though if I refuse now something bad will happen, and £2.23 is just not worth it.
I paid and went home and cooked it..... HORRIBLE, not fillet , chewy just HORRIBLE, I ended up binning it.
Rip off, what I dont understand is why rip off a client over £2.23.
What he did is actually a CRIME because he actually gave me a receipt of fillet meat sold by £7 a kilo.
Never again, it was the first and last time I went to this shop.
THIEVES
The reviews that these idiots have cannot be true, or your food standards are really low.
I'm going to try and upload a photo of the receipt with all the details in so you can see I'm not lying.

Great butcher, usually has everything I need. I go once a month to fill up freezer with high quality lamb and minced beef. Freshest lamb liver in town.

I had a very very terrible experience last month 29/08/20 when I bought 2.5 kg of lamb ribs. I decided to get 2kg of lamb ribs, one of the seller then weighed the lamb and it was 2.5kg, he coaxed me to get the extra 500g, which I fell for it. When I went back and grilled the ribs, they are absolutely UNCHEWABLE AND NOT EATABLE. ALL OF THEM. I wasted GBP15 just like that, I will never come again. You as a seller, you know that lamb was in bad quality, that's why you coaxed me to buy more. You should have given the best quality for your customers. absolutely gutted
