I am extremely fortunate to be able to say that I know Chris (the owner) at Lydiard Turkeys. Chris and Lindsay are extremely passionate about not only their turkeys, but everything that surrounds the life of their turkeys, Chris is very knowledgeable about the farm and the environment, I am always mind blown by all the facts and information that he shares about farm life. Both Chris and Lindsay are welcoming and helpful. The turkeys themselves are cared for absolutely 100% with love and compassion throughout their entire lives, it’s wonderful to be able to watch the turkeys graze and plod along happily in the fields everyday. The service when coming to collect your turkey in December is second to none. A very efficient, quick and easy drive through to collect these HUGE turkeys that are found by personal order. Now the good part.. The turkeys are delicious, Chris is always on hand to give some great advice on how they are best cooked. Being extremely bias, but the turkeys are probably the best birds I have ever tasted. Knowing where they’ve come from, what sort of amazing life they’ve had before hand also adds to the amazing “perks list” about these turkeys. We as a family wouldn’t go anywhere else now.

We will never go back to supermarket turkeys! The team at Lydiard Turkeys do their best to educate themselves and their customers about every aspect of their turkeys from finding the right breed, to looking after their welfare, to how to best cook them. And you can really tell the difference when tasting the turkey, it's incredible and so simple to cook because of the high quality of the meat. If only more producers worked like this!

Absolutely amazing. Best turkey we’ve ever bought. It wasn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. It was succulent and soooo tasty. Cooked really quick and leftovers were amazing for several days.

I met the lovely Chris, the owner. He's incredibly passionate about his Turkeys, livestock and the environment, so I'm now his number one fan!! The farm shop will be opening at weekends, selling all his lamb, beef and dairy products directly to customers.....a great way to reduce food miles in my books to get the freshest ingredients. I would suspect that Turkeys for Christmas will need to be ordered well in advance this year, as they're going to be popular!!

Last year we had a Lydiard turkey crown and this year a whole turkey. Again this was a fantastic turkey unlike anything we’ve had from a supermarket. And after years of cooking turkeys in bags, with foil and on beds of vegetables with stock I just followed the instructions provided by Lydiard and the result was perfect. The turkey cooks in less time than expected which is a good thing these days. And having been to the farm several times we can vouch for how well the turkeys are cared for. Looking forward to next Christmas already.

I have bought Turkey's from here for the last 4 years. Each time they are the best. Tasty and juicy. The team there really care for their animals and it shows in the taste. Convenient pickup times and normally a free mince pie!! What more can you ask.

Definitely the place to go for turkeys, lamb and pork in and around Swindon if you want high quality local meat. Join one of the farm walks to see for yourself how well the animals are kept and how much effort it's put into their welfare as well as preserving the countryside and wildlife.
Anyways enjoyed getting fresh meat from there and it's something I miss after moving away.
