Just Fantastic!

Managed to get a late booking on Valentines Day.

Charming, professional service from all staff led by the very genial owner. It is worth visiting for the cheese soufflé alone! Small menu with food offered at a very high standard with an excellent affordable wine list. We had such a good time we cancelled our plans to come back again the next night which was equally excellent. Lucky lucky locals who can visit here regularly. This is a real gem! Run - don’t walk to get a table! We will be back.

This is an awesome food that I have enjoyed after so many years. Luscimbes is a must try restaurant in henley on thames. Steve was so friendly and took care of my dietary restrictions and customized it to a vegan meal. Their hospitality was so great. Even helped booked a local cab to get our guests safe to the hotel. Simply they went above and beyond. Hidden gem and must try.

We’ve dinned at the Luscombes and enjoyed every moment of it, it’s certainly a hidden gem

We were told that the Cheese Soufflé is a very popular dish, I had to try it and it was wonderful - full of flavours and very light, I could have probably eaten half a dozen of them (easy)

My steak was done well with butter and herbs on the top that were a very good fit - the sides that come with the portion were very generous

The service was friendly

Just for reference, it’s not a big place, it does give a very home style of a feeling (just with better food)

I’ll also add that the wines were quite good and above the level I usually see at similar places (unless course one agrees to pay a lot more for a bottle)

We’re certainly going to come back and I would recommend to those who haven’t been to visit and enjoy a lovely dinning experience

Best food in Henley by some way in my view. We had soufflé, crayfish cocktail, mussels & pasta and rib-eye. Super flavoursome, really shows what you can do with great ingredients and some imagination. It was an impromptu meal out and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done😀

The food is just outstanding and Steve is very friendly. We are so pleased he has been able to find a place in Henley and hopefully they will be able to expand. I think the Cheese Souffle is their signature dish. It is difficult to cook and is spot on every time.

Squeezed us in before a big table and we were so very grateful, the food was fantastic absolutely amazing, we loved the cheese soufflé and adored the squid. The mains followed in equally good form and the staff provided a warm and welcoming ambience in a small and intimate venue. We will certainly revisit.
