Visiting this taproom for the first time. Great selection of both cask and craft ales, many brewed on site - all at reasonable prices. Frequent Stagecoach buses run both North and South so no reason to bring the 🚘 - also little more than a 10 minute walk from Galgate Marina 🛥️.

Drinking a pint of the flattest beer I've ever bought, fresh on today, it has no conditioning whatsoever, very disappointing for a new(to this pub) brewery.

Great pub and brewery I recommend visiting. Canal boats can moore across from Galgate mariner.
Today as I went up the stairs I was told due to new rules I was not allowed to eat the local pizza when they are hosting a food kiosk. I really like the real ale. When they first started out it was very welcoming now as l brought in our pizzas I was told they had brought in new rules and only the food from the kiosk was allowed when it was there. PLS can I ask that you put up signs that are visual but still indicative of the people and heritage when you are hosting a food vendor. That way I can go back to enjoying a local brew and if I decide a slice of pizza. Pls don't ruin a good thing.

Very disappointing. I have been here 6 times now. Closed for four of these, even though I checked the website for opening hours for three out of the four times. I had a cask blonde tonight. Very flat and tasteless. I could only drink half and left the rest on the bar with a comment to the bar staff. Seemingly the few other customers were drinking keg. It will take a lot for me to try this place again.

Awesome brewery and the bar upstairs offers all craft ales that are brewed downstairs open from 5pm to 11pm Thursday and Friday then 2pm till 11pm Saturday and Sunday.
