I’ve lived in many countries, from North America, to west Africa, Europe and the UK, always trying to buy food from local farms where possible. This is the best farm shop I have ever visited and continue to visit. Be warned: once you buy food from here- anywhere else will feel like a disappointment (sorry Waitrose and M&S, even your meat is a disappointment comparatively, I still love you though!).

Over the two years I’ve been coming here, they have steadily expanding their range of offerings from their local- reared meats, to other locally sourced produce, dairy, cheese, breads and baked goods, etc. Two years ago my weekend routine would be to head here first and then to the grocery after for anything else needed. Now, I can get pretty much everything I need in one go. And I also feel great shopping here supporting all local businesses, the way it should be.

The staff and family that run this are so friendly and helpful. They give tons of advice and are experts in meat cuts. One time I even experimented with a “feather blade” cut I read about in a book, to the butchers delight, and he cut a fresh one for me then and there and explained about the cut and how best to prepare it. They can literally do anything.

I personally am borderline obsessed with their steaks, lamb kebab sticks (aka crack sticks), whole chickens, and smoked streaky bacon. But literally everything is amazing.

Also there are always animals around to interact with. Today a whole group of piglets were born, and lots of sheep were around. There are Guinea pigs too, so great for kids and adults alike.

Be sure to treat yo self to this farm, and support local businesses and the environment while you’re at it- and pay no more than you would at the grocery anyway. What’s not to love?!

Uplifting experience. Really lovely farm shop. It feels authentic. The staff are just lovely! They make you feel like a regular but how helpful and personable they are. Bit short of parking on a busy day but it’s a farm shop! It’s small and cute - not commercialised. Love the new(ish) cheese counter, and they’ll always cut a little off for you to try! Big variety of unique cheeses - charcoal cheddar, truffle cheese, chilli Stilton etc. All the locals love the shop . Really good choice of meat, even little doggy bags of the offcuts do things don’t go to waste. Wide variety of seasonal fruit and veg (I bought parsnips and sweet potatoes and they were MASSIVE and such good quality!) I wish some of their produce was a bit more local but that’s the only thing I would change. 10/10

We have bought meat here on many occasions. Christmas turkey is a must as they really do taste delicious. This time it was a 4.3Kg beef brisket and a 2.3Kg pork shoulder aka pork butt for a low and slow smoke for 8 to 10 hrs. They were both fantastic bits of meat. We had 10 guests and they all said the meat tasted amazing you really can taste the difference with a family run farm butchers.

What a great find! Love that everything is organic and the welfare of their animals is one of the highest priorities. We will buy from here more often than not.
