I recently completed a weekend stay here with some family and friends for a hen-do. It really was the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend. The cottages and surrounding gardens are really lovely. We used the studio area for a workshop on the Saturday and it’s a really great space to gather together as a larger group.
We were greeted on arrival with fresh scones with jam and cream! Nothing seemed too much trouble for Gemma.
We all really enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a relaxed hen do, around 30 minute drive to Plymouth for activities!

Our stay was excellent and it was a big bonus that we were the only ones there booked at the time. My 4yr old loved the gruffalo hunt and the home was lovely. Great places to visit nearby. The owners were great and accommodating. We were welcomed with scones, jam and blanket and treats for our dog. It would be so handy if they installed an EV charger but that didn't bother us as it was very easy to find a charger when we drove to explore the area.

Great weekend spent here. Fabulous hosts, friendly and welcoming, we went to feed the chickens, collected eggs and fed the pony and sheep! Children had a lovely time. Gorgeous cottages with everything you need!

The fact that we’ve been to Lower Trengale four times says it all really, it’s a perfect little slice of country life!
Gemma and Andy are the perfect hosts, every silly question or random request is dealt with with a smile.
Each cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, the log fires are a toasty bonus after a day exploring and the comfy beds ensure a good nights sleep after all the fabulous Cornish air!

A lovely row of cottages set on a gorgeous farm. The chickens are always out and about. Giving us our delicious eggs which were always available AND they were free which is always a bonus.
There is a little shop, a games room and also laundry facilities available.
Loveny Cottage has a good sized lounge with a real log fire. Open plan with a full kitchen.
Downstairs there are two adequately sized bedrooms. One single and one double.

A fair sized bathroom. The roll top bath is a lovely touch. However, a shower is difficult here as the water pressure is so low.
The only other thing that wasn’t available was a decent WiFi connection with only an extremely weak 3G signal. But if you’re here for a good break, that is actually a good thing.

Our hosts Gemma & Andy were absolutely amazing. Any time we needed anything, we would send a text in the morning & it would be on our doorstep when we came back from our day out.
The cottage is dog friendly. In addition to an amazing welcome basket for us humans, our canine companion also received his own little welcome basket which was a lovely thought.

We booked all four cottages for a family wedding so we could attend a wedding at Trevenna Barns which were 15 minutes drive away. Each cottage had a lovely, comfy, welcoming, home from home feeling and even had their own dishwasher!!! The studio and games room are great to use if you are a large family or group of friends who want to eat and relax together in the evenings. The grounds around the cottages are lovely for kids to play in and fit adults to relax. The whole place feels extremely safe and very tranquil. Gemma and Andy are great hosts and I would highly recommend these cottages for anyone looking for a stay near to Liskeard.

We had a wonderful time at Lower Trengale Farm. The grounds and surroundings are beautiful and the children loved exploring, seeing the animals, completing the gruffalo hunt and playing in the play area. Some parts of the accommodation were a bit tired and Gemma & family are slowly doing up the cottages. However it didn’t take away from the experience and we had everything we needed, it was comfortable and homely. We were away with family so the communal areas worked perfectly for us and we would definitely recommend the cottages for groups/families.
