Beautiful grounds, huge fireplace!
We went here to the restaurant only on a dinner for our honeymoon. We waited patiently, and it was well worth it. Very kind service.
It is a real gem, my wife was super impressed.
The original structure was built and owned by a commander in the Napoleonic wars and has a rich history which you can learn about if you visit!

I wished we stayed longer! It was such an amazing visit starting from the drive to the hotel, so enjoyable. Hotel has a fireplace and we were offered to have drinks there while waiting for our dinner to be ready. Food is really good, atmosphere very classy. Rooms spacious, no TV, no radio, total tranquility. Till next time!

My husband and I booked Lands of Loyal for a bus tour with friends from Germany. 23 Germans, 2 Mexicans, 1 Argentinian and 4 Scots. We stayed 5 nights with breakfast and dinner. A wonderful comfortable, welcoming Hotel. The rooms were individually furnished to a very high standard. 5 stars for the food, breakfast and dinner. Excellent. I think everyone in our party would book again. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend the Lands of Loyal Hotel.

Once again we have experienced the usual unfailing five star experience offered by this fabulous, beautiful hotel during our overnight stay to celebrate my retirement.||Every time we visit we think things can’t possibly get better but there always seems to be an extra little touch that makes our stay so completely relaxing and enjoyable.||We keep returning as nothing is too much trouble to the lovely owners and their team who always make us feel so welcome and relaxed.||Special thanks to Josh who looked after us so very well from lunch until after dinner. He is a very professional, friendly and helpful young man and a credit to what is the wonderful Lands of Loyal experience!

I am absolutely thrilled with the amazing food, drink and accommodation we enjoyed at the end of January for our dad's 70th birthday. We had the most perfect welcome, a lovely seat and catch up with a G&T by the roaring fire and absolutely beautiful steaks in the dining room. I ended up staying (unplanned) in the hotel to save a long journey late at night and was delighted by the lovely traditional room. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was warm and the check out wasn't till 12pm! The hotel is (with the exception of some areas) dog friendly which just made it for me! I would highly recommend this hotel for food and drink or for an overnight stay. The breakfast the next morning was second to none and the hospitality throughout was impeccable. Thank you very much for having us and for making dad's birthday absolutely perfect.

A unique, magical, wonderful place made all the more special by the lovely staff. The bedrooms are comfortable with excellent linen. The food is first rate served in a classy dining room. The drawing room is simply the most special of any hotel drawing room I have ever been in.

Had a lovely stay. Dinner was excellent, very relaxed atmosphere, feels like you are in a friends house. Friendly, efficient staff.||It’s a lovely, historic old house that has been largely unfettered with so don’t expect a bland, sterile international 4/5* hotel. The rooms are basic by modern standards but warm and functional.||Very dog friendly in most of the communal areas apart from the restaurants which is fair enough. Dog was allowed in the bar for breakfast. He enjoyed his sausage.

My sister-in-law and I, along with my dog, spent two nights at Lands Of Loyal Hotel from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day. We had the most wonderful time, and everything was faultless. The dog-friendly rooms were beautifully presented, very comfortable with plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits on hand. From dinner on Christmas Eve until breakfast on Boxing Day, every meal was just perfect. The staff were very friendly and polite and nothing was ever too much trouble. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation, especially as a Christmas treat, and would love to return next Christmas. On a footnote, my very lively Spaniel also had a lovely time and was thoroughly spoilt and fussed over by everyone.
