Such an amazing place to stay - can’t recommend it enough! Impeccable service, divine food, very intentional and thoughtful decor and design. We had dinner with our son going to the local university, and it featured a delicious and artfully displayed selection of local cheeses, sausages, and greens finished by a scrumptious lemon crème brûlée. All the fixtures in the rooms are top notch and in new condition, and the wonderful owners sprinkle little delightful amenities throughout. ||A few hints - for those without a car, uber is hard to come by, so plan to call a taxi (rather expensive) or better, take the bus. It comes often and we found it to be reliable.

We loved our stay at Lancaster barn. The rooms a beautiful and spotless, loved the little touches of home-made flapjack and apples from the orchard.

A definite must is the cocktails served in the breakfast room overlooking the garden.

Wonderful little B&B. The hosts were very welcoming and the rooms are spotless. What made it really special was the extra little touches, like the apples grown in their garden which were left in your room (along with a delicious slice of homemade flapjack!) and the tray of breakfast 'extras' brought to your table containing yoghurts, fresh fruit and some lovely home-made jam. The beds are super comfortable, the bathrooms spotless and breakfast was of very good quality and delicious too. Things like this, coupled with the individual extra touches throughout clearly demonstrate that the owners are very proud of their business (rightly so!) and are aiming to make your stay a special one each time you visit. Thank you both, and we look forward to staying again soon.

A very welcoming B&B, that is of hotel standard. Very comfortable. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Close to the M6, so provides a suitable break in long or short journeys. We stayed on our way north to Edinburgh. Very highly recommended.

An amazing b&b, the rooms are designed so well with a homely warmth, the garden is immaculate, and I am so glad I decided to have the seasonal supper in the garden room. What a treat of fresh produce from their garden and other local producers.

Regret that it’s only one night on the way through, would be a lovely place to stop and explore from for a couple more. Would certainly return again

The moment you step foot in to this oasis of calm, you know you are in for the most wonderful stay. Clare and Paul have thought of everything to ensure your stay is perfect in every way and are so very welcoming . Utterly perfect in every way! The hosts, Clare and Paul, are absolutely lovely and get the level of hosting presence just right. The barn is very easy to find with ample and spacious car parking and lovely views from every angle. We stayed in one of the large rooms which was beautiful. Huge bathroom with enormous shower, his and hers basins with plenty of space for your belongings. Lots of nice extra touches in the room, Nespresso machine plus kettle with filtered water, fresh milk in the mini-fridge, lots of teas and the most delicious handmade flapjack on arrival. Soft chairs and a dressing table, bedside tables and hanging space and a huge comfy bed with crisp white linen - we were wanting for nothing. We ate our evening meal there which is a gorgeous selection of homegrown items from the garden, homemade bread, salads and chutney, plus locally sourced meats and cheeses. The breakfast was outstanding too, with yogurt and granola, toast and fresh fruit, plus your choice from the menu - we went for the barn breakfast which was again, delicious. Do not let the proximity to the road put you off, as all the other reviews state, the barn is very well protected from any road noise. Finally, try the gin with herbs from the garden if you are a gin fan - it was fantastic! We shall be back, thank you very much!

This is quite simply the most top quality bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. A rating of 5 is not good enough for this establishment, it is spotlessly clean, breakfasts superb and the owners so nice. Pubs and restuarants nearby one walkable and to cap it all Strawberries straight from their garden. We spent two nights there one onvthe way to the Highlands and one on the way back to the south coast of England, about halfway. Terrific!
