I met Matt and Michelle on a recent camping trip whilst cooking meat over hot coals. We talked beer and it turned out these guys run Lakes Brew Co. Matt kindly shared some samples to try which turned out to be really great beers. In particular Sunrise (lovely balanced hazy pale) and Indie Craft Werk a DDH and very tasty (6.5% packs a punch!). Anyways, we met some really nice people, shared some chat, and have discovered some great tasting beers. Hope to see you both in your tap room at some point in the future. Phil & Co.

Great variety of locally made beers, ales in stouts, enjoyed in a small industrial unit with picnic tables! Unpretentious little venue, and had a good couple of hours here. Check what's on before turning up.

What a gem this place is. Just a short walk from Kendal town centre. The atmosphere was lovely - plenty of happy, friendly faces and plenty of good doggos. The staff were chatty, welcoming and helpful. I was really excited to try the range beers having had one previously at my local - they didn't disappoint. Managed to taste all but one of the beers on draft and each was phenomenal. If I didn't have a train to catch I would have stayed until closing time! They also had local scotch eggs and sausage rolls on, I didn't try myself but those who did seemed to be really enjoying them.

Put simply, "beer on another level". As a visitor this place was a gem of a find. Stunning beers & friendly faces, it's a craft beer drinkers paradise. Luckily we arrived on the only day of the month it was open. So if you plan to visit sometime then call first to check their opening times. Having spoken to Matt (ex' Hawkshead head brewer) & Steve (ex' Brewdog) both these guys have pedigree which was obvious to me on first tasting. If your ever heading this way & beer is your thing, don't miss an opportunity to call, I'm confident you won't be dissapointed.
